  1. That is great for Matt did he receive a grey shirt? In checking the roster Matt is not listed. The only other walk on from NKY besides Davis is Brad Bardo from Highlands listed as a linebacker.
  2. Dixie Fans what's up with the visitor side stands at the new field? I stopped by the other evening and it looks like they are only about 4 or 5 rows high. Is there some structural issues limiting visitor seating? I find it hard to believe Kenton Co. Board of Ed spends all that money and someone approved that visitor section as being acceptable. Are the Home side stands seating capacity larger than the old stands? I assume Dixie will be moving their bench over to the home side now that there will be seating behind their bench. Or are they going to stay over by the school where they have traditionally been? I think any of the NKY 4a schools Bands alone could fill up those stands without any problem. I would think that would NOT be what you would want. But I’m sure Coach Spritzky has more on this mind these days than the visitor section to his new field.
  3. Way to go Caryl!!!!!!!!! NDA - Alum
  4. Tony received a Grey shirt and will be joining the team next semester. Congratulations Tony. :dancingpa
  5. I think this game will be closer than people think. Dixie has some rebounding to do and CovCath may be flat after a monster effort against Elder. I agree this will not be a blowout as most are predicting. This is always a Big game for Dixie. The switch in the Dixie's schedule with dropping Lloyd for Beechwood was not the expected result. I do expect Dixie to make a better showing, Dixie knows Cov Cath would like nothing better than put a Big number on them. I just think Dixie will be sky high and more prepared and Cov Cath should not think all they need to do is show up.
  6. Cov Cath has a long long way to go before we make them out to be one of the Top teams in the State. Their not even the best in their district.
  7. In my opinion this WILL BE the last year you will see Cov Cath / Boone meeting in football. Faced with the new districting and the complete lack competition Boone has demonstrated the past two years. The canceling of the JV game will only add greater motivation to drop Boone. Plus there no longer the loyalty to Boone like under the Ray years. I think Coach R would like to maybe move some of the Ohio contests to Louisville. Plus I’m also of the opinion Cov Cath should strongly consider moving into 5A next year. But we will wait and see.
  8. Could Cov Cath move up to 5a? That would allow them to compete with the majority of the areas schools. Plus compete for the same students.
  9. Your right. I expect AV to be somewhere around par today. We are sending Sean out in the morning to caddy for him in the Jr. Am next week. Sean figures he needs a couple of days to get use to the time change. I'm not sure of that but that his story. First round is Monday. I'm sure Al will bounce back, we are all disappointed that we can't be out there to watch the two of them next week. But I feel good that he will make better showing for himself.
  10. I think you will se more players seeing action on both sides of the ball this year.Still two platooning but more players being used in spot situations.
  11. They moved up the highway in that shopping center behind substation it's very nice place. They are sharing space with a Beauty Shop.:sssh:
  12. I asked that at the barber shop the other day and was told freedom park.
  13. Congradulations Peter!!!! Continue to work hard!!!!
  14. I know that Coach Rodenberg had contacted Ryan Ernst regarding Sean decision last week. But just to clear any questions. Sean had narrowed his options to Georgetown, Ohio Dominican, Wittenberg, Mt. St. Joe all very good opportunities as well as attractive packages. Plus he also strongly considered Morehead. As for D1’s he did consider w/o at Furman, Cincinnati and Kentucky but none of those offers were preferred. Sean is very happy with his decision to attend EKU, he believes this is his best chance to be successful both academically as well as athletically plus the opportunity to play scholarship football. EKU is willing to give him a shot to prove he can play. That’s all Sean was looking at, what’s the right opportunity. We are very proud and happy for Sean on his decision.
  15. Northern Kentucky all-star football game ... Rosters for the game (scheduled for 7 p.m., June 8 at Beechwood) have been released. A quick glance tells me that the East squad has an edge, but it's hard to handicap these types of games. Newly hired Beechwood coach Noel Rash will coach the West. John Schlarman of Newport will coach the East. Anyway, here are the squads: East CovCath: Zach Spradlin, Sean McGee, Brett Sutton, Mike Hudson, Joe Smith; Dayton: Dennis Alford, Alan Haire, Ryan Polly, Jason Schwartz; Bellevue: Lincoln Adams, Josh Schmitz, Mike Riley, Zak Kelsay, Anthony Duell; Campbell County: Matt Sauerbeck, Hunter Craig, Brendan Hobbs, Johnny Popp; NewCath: Kevin Bueter, Josh Canafax, Sam Diehl, Chaz Siemer, Justin Smith; Dixie Heights: Scott Gumble, Ryan Atchley, Brady Huenefeld, Nick Metzger, Adam Huber; Newport: Glen Young, Daniel Runion, James Thomas, DJ Smith, Matt Atkins; Holmes: Timmy German, Ryan Roberts; Highlands: Ben Guidugli, Chase Cecil, Eric Beck, Michael Pryse, Josh Abell West Beechwood: Josh Carl, Pat Muth, John Kenning, Evan Reilly; Boone County: Marcus Davis, Anthony Kammer, Justin Citrone, Kyle Lightner, Rocky Bleier; Conner: Dale Stone, Nick Hammons, Matt Hunley, T.J. Shinkle; Holy Cross: Adam Placke, Matt Kozerski, Dana Riley, Gerald Walker, Dan Lange; Lloyd: Jeremy Addington, Zack Woodward, Avery Benken, Dara Webb, Eric Flinn; Ludlow: Mark Csolkovits, Michael Goodpaster, Chase King, Nick Papas, Derick Trenkamp; Ryle: Jerrod Babik, Greg Ashworth, Drew Morgan, Reid Broadus, Michael Meade; Scott: Justin Coooper, Kyle Finn, Zach Mucha, Adam Pendergraft, Chad Mihalovich; Simon Kenton: Andrew Damico, Kyle Rabe, Josh Larkins, Jason Strunk, Silas Siffle Congradulations to everyone on being selected!!!
  16. I really don't know if he did or didn't.
  17. IMO John Rodenberg is not going anywhere. I'm really surprised that "Several" CCH insiders are reporting that he wants out. My son is a graduating senior this year at Cov Cath.. Coach Rodenberg did a GREAT JOB replacing a Legend. The future is extremely bright at Cov Cath. Next year’s freshman class is one of the largest in many years. Coach R is committed to continue developing the Cov Cath program as one of the states top programs. I'm just disappointed for the current underclassmen that may come on here and read this junk. Cov Cath players / parents / supporters don’t allow yourselves to be distracted by such a rumor. All I'm going to say is Coach Rodenberg was an excellent hire for Cov Cath. I just wish my son had another year with Coach Rodenberg and his staff.
  18. Brent will be only a Jr. next year. He was starter a LB towards the end of the season last year. Brent has good size, speed and hands. As for RB next season he should see quite a bit of carries and balls thrown his way.
  19. I stopped at Cov Cath today to buy tickets only to learn they have sold out of their allocation. I was advised to purchase tickets through Rupp Ticket office directly. Tickets are $10 and $15 plus service charege if you purchase over the phone.
  20. It will be a BIG NIGHT for these 5 CCH Colonels Seniors. All who have played together since the 3rd Grade, either at Blessed Sacrament or with the original Northern Ky. Rockets AAU team. I'm hoping Coach L would choose to start ALL 5 Friday Night ! :dancingpa
  21. Zach called last night to let my son know of his decision. We have had the pleasure of watching Zach play since the 4th grade. Georgetown is certainly getting a good one in this young man. Cov Cath was a better place because of Zach and his parents and I'm sure Georgetown will be as well. :dancingpa
  22. Game Sold Out before 7pm. I'll have to miss Toga Night. :madman:
