CCH LB Sean McGee will be walking on at EKU and Campbell County's Matt Sauerbeck will be walking on at UK.

Two tough high school LBs making a big jump. Good to see.

Do they both have preferred walk on status?

I believe so. 99% sure.

WOW! I'm surprised that UK would do that. Not that I don't think Matt is good. I do. Just not sure he's the right size for what coaches usually look for in a LB in the SEC. I'm sure he'll do great if given half a chance, which if your correct, he has been given.

Congratulations to both of you!

Does anybody know where the Stone kid from Conner is going to be playing???

I know for certain that Matt Sauerbeck is a perfered walk on at UK.

Congratulations Matt and good luck.

I think UK's projected starters range in size from : Schuler 6-3 233 , Kelly 6-0 226 ,Woodyard 6-1 226 , at the LB position . I think if Matt work's hard he'll fit right in that size range . But the speed will be the key ! Work HARD and Congrat's Matt !!!:thumb: Also Congrat's to Sean McGee too !!!:thumb: I hope to see you both playing soon !!!!!:ylsuper:

BTW, Sean's final two choices were UK and EKU.

I know that Coach Rodenberg had contacted Ryan Ernst regarding Sean decision last week. But just to clear any questions. Sean had narrowed his options to Georgetown, Ohio Dominican, Wittenberg, Mt. St. Joe all very good opportunities as well as attractive packages. Plus he also strongly considered Morehead. As for D1’s he did consider w/o at Furman, Cincinnati and Kentucky but none of those offers were preferred. Sean is very happy with his decision to attend EKU, he believes this is his best chance to be successful both academically as well as athletically plus the opportunity to play scholarship football. EKU is willing to give him a shot to prove he can play. That’s all Sean was looking at, what’s the right opportunity. We are very proud and happy for Sean on his decision.

Include me in the "we".

Congratulations to both of you! Best of luck Sean on playing at the next level. You had a very good high school career and is very deserving of the opportunity.:thumb:

The Spradlin family is certainly proud of Sean and his accomplishments. Eastern is getting a good man on and off the field. We wish him all the best and to enjoy the experience.
