Qryche11 Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 I have to put Jordan Kramer up there as one of the top... he is a 2yr starter and looks like he has put on about 15 pounds of muscle since last year. What about the Farris kid at Boone? QB or RB?

What about the Farris kid at Boone? QB or RB? Farris has to be towards the top, if not at the top, of most lists. Bogle will handle the QB duties at BC, so Farris will just have to run the ball this year.
sportsman Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Michael Vicars will be in his 3rd year starting for NCC.I think he will have a pretty good year.
NEERFAN Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 BC seemed to play better with Farris in the backfield, I'd be suprised to see him lineup under center. Kramer is probably the quickest back in the area, Gray from Ryle should be a load and NCC returns Vicars and he played well down the stretch. I look for a big season from SK's Brent Bishop, he should get the lion's share of carries this season
futurecoach Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Im not saying he will be the top RB in NKY next year, but a name people might be hearing alot from is sophomore Braydon Mills of Ludlow! He got to play alot of runningback last year by the end of the year for the Panthers and really showed alot of great things, and I know I look for alot out of him this year!
ChaseMe10 Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Ryne Wilfong for Newport will be a good running back next year
NCCBreds Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Michael Vicars will be in his 3rd year starting for NCC.I think he will have a pretty good year. Vicars didn't start his sophomore season. Ben Kelly started. But yes if Vicars can stay healthy he and his o-line should have one heck of a year.
Sandman32 Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 I think Molony from Dixie will have a nice year, as well as Haught from Scott. Bishop from SK had a great year last season and will be up in top three if is his O line continue to open him some holes. But Farris will be the top dog. Vickars will be in the top three too.

Yes Ben was the #1 back but Vicars was a starting Back as well. He di not play 1 down with the 2nd team. There were times when he wasn't in, But he came out when the starters came out.
MJK3490 Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 What about Brent Buckely for CCH? He played lb last year, but im pretty sure he will be back to the running back position. He had a great season freshman year.

He di not play 1 down with the 2nd team. There were times when he wasn't in, But he came out when the starters came out. HE may have lettered, but come on, when Ben Kelly was a senior, he was the man! Vicars did good, and I mean no disrespect, but he was not starting over Ben Freak'n Kelley!

Vicars did good, and I mean no disrespect, but he was not starting over Ben Freak'n Kelley! Come on sandman look closer,I said ben was the #1 back and Vicars was the 2. All I said is he was considered a starter. He was just on the other side of the QB.Yes Kelly got most of the Carries but Vicars still had his share.Heck most of our second string played more than him because our starters were out before Halftime 50% of that year. The year before that year Kelly was the #2 back to Kevin Smith and he played the same roll as Vicars played when he was a sophmore. I am sorry but I consider Kelly a 2 year starter. No disrespect takin it is just my opinion,If you come out when the 1rst team does you are a starter.

Irishky10 Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 He will be a senior this year.He is pretty good, I watched him all through peewee and high school. Brent will be only a Jr. next year. He was starter a LB towards the end of the season last year. Brent has good size, speed and hands. As for RB next season he should see quite a bit of carries and balls thrown his way.
