I get the sense that highlands wearing blue on white is a desperate attempt to throw off and confuse the breds on offense. They shouldn't be able to wear the primary color of the team they play, seems a little ridiculous

I don't understand why You bring Weyer going to NCC up for a 4th straight year, maybe not you individually, but it's always brought up. The kid chose the Catholic school. Your point about Weyer being on your team instead of NCC's is irrelevant and a sad attempt to compare the two programs... Smh

E. Anderson played 2 minutes in the first game. So you've seen 10 minutes of both teams at full strength... Assuming Weyer is 100% healthy now. (which he isn't)

Fun Fact: NCC Assistant coach - Kenny Collopy - is undefeated in 4 years of the All "A". Won state with the Indians, then 3-Peated with the breds from NCC. I'll take NCC 66-51

NewCath had individual stars but did not play like That by any means. They had one of the best team Defenses in the state the last 2 years

I'll take the breds in this one. IMO they have been the favorite the last 3 seasons but obviously haven't come out on top. I look for Weyer to have his. I see CCH playing "no help" defense off of Moeves which will hurt his numbers but open driving lanes for Hall.

Coach Gray and Coach "P" (Pangallo) are two of the best I've seen. Coach for CovCath also does a great job. (Coach Otte I believe)

Newcath was in legal guarding position. They were not on Cooper's hips - rather in front of the ball. I thought officials were consistent

NCC kept McNeil in check. NCC had better team defense and made open shots on offense. Officiating missed one call where Weyer accidentally elbowed McNeil in the head but other then that had a solid game. The 9th is a toss up.... Again

From the games I've seen this year, NCC doesn't have that monstrous Defense like the past three years. Cooper has an explosive offense. This could go 3 ways : Cooper blowout win, Cooper tight win, NCC tight win. Unfortunately I think NCC fails to "defend the hill" and Cooper sneaks away with a 69-60 win.

Did the defense look better? Or was the opposing offense not as strong?

Great accomplishment to Ben. I'm sure he is focused on improving his team for the near future.

IMO, Weyer was getting fouled just about every play, but since he is 4 inches taller than everyone - refs don't call it as much. Same thing happened last year with McDonald and the year before that with Schulte

It was hard for me to understand NCC's offensive game plan, and it was hard for me to watch the breds get torn apart on Defense.

I agree, 3 Newcath turnovers compared to Mayfield's 0 Is a huge stat. I am also surprised to see Marfield have more success in the air than the ground. What happened to the NCC secondary? In the same sense, what happened to their pass rush?

How many turnovers did each team have?

How good of a win in this for the breds?

A group That hasn't lost to NCC JV or Varsity?
