Final per the update thread.

Luke Moeves with 17 & Ben Weyer 16 for NCC.

NCC kept McNeil in check. NCC had better team defense and made open shots on offense. Officiating missed one call where Weyer accidentally elbowed McNeil in the head but other then that had a solid game. The 9th is a toss up.... Again

Statement game. I see you, NCC.

Wouldn't call that a solid officiating game at all. Officials let too much contact slide from NCC and called touchy fouls on Cooper. Especially when the official who missed the elbow right in front of his face calls Runion for reaching (when he touched basketball) the following drive down

How many FGA did Sean McNeil have?

I was WAAAAAAYYYY OFF in the prediction thread, and NewCath is WAY more impressive than I was expecting. We all know that Weyer is tough, but I had wrongly assumed beforehand that they might be lacking some compared to the past few season, but these guys are nothing to sneeze at. They come to play hard.

Like I said Cooper has never beat Newcath in basketball. And also Ben Weyer is the best player in the region I think he prove that tonight.

Hmm I read over my own statement and didn't realize I said we got screwed over...

Did the officials miss calls? Yes. Was it what did us in? No missed a lot of shots in first quarter and in general. Also left NCC open on a lot of threes. Please Clyde don't put words into my posts. Anyone who says the officials never screw up should probably consult an optometrist, but never said they were the reason we lost.

Cooper will get back to their winning ways. After all it is only our second loss

This from the prediction thread, "Cooper wins this one easy". Haha! Hope he is predicting a Steelers win on Saturday as well.

Great win for the Breds. Love the energy and effort they brought tonight. Adam Kunkel is TOUGH. Moeves and Weyer played great on both ends of the floor. Favorite play of the game was when Hendrix drove to what looked like a wide open lay up and Weyer comes out of no where and swats it off the backboard, another cooper player gets the rebound and Weyer swats his shot attempt into the stands. Overall great energy on the hill tonight. Hard for opposing teams to come in and win on new caths floor. Cooper didn't play their best, but could set up for a great game at BB&T on a neutral floor.

Breds "D" was damn good tonight, as they didn't allow many open looks for the Jags and with the presence of Ben Weyer, absolutely nothing inside. Just another night were there is no equal to him on the floor.

Costly turnovers and 3 missed lay-ups in the 2nd quarter killed the Breds, but credit the Jags for not giving up. I was very impressed with their game in the 2nd quarter.

Brian and Eric Anderson with a "dandy" 3rd quarter at both ends of the floor to extend the NewCath lead.

Ben Weyer with an impressive evening on defense, 3 of his 6 blocks crushed against the backboard. He scores 2 FT's less than 30 seconds into the 3rd quarter and hits one early 4th quarter for his only points of the 2nd half. He didn't take but maybe 2 or 3 shots in the half, as his defense and passing did the job.

Luke Moeves with another nice job stroking from distance.

Boys and girls, Adam Kunkel is as good as advertised......Lord have mercy!!! Young man has a sweet shot and can handle the rock, very impressed with his game tonight.

Newcath is extremely tough at home. I'm not surprised they won but definitely surprised by the margin.

Winning on the road in the 9th region this year isnt easy. The 9th region tournament should be fun. Both of these teams have the pieces to win the region on a neutral floor.
