How good of a win in this for the breds?

Depends on where you think New Cath is at this point. Lex Cath is probably the 5th or 6th best team in the 11th region IMO.

Considering NewCath as possibly one starter (Eric Anderson) and back-ups (Trent Wrobleski & Austin Neff) still playing football.......I'd say it's a good win. Great job Breds.

Interesting tidbit........the losing team in the 1st three LexCath games.........all scored 61 pts.

LexCath 88 Fleming Co. 61

LexCath 79 Model 61

NewCath 67 LexCath 61

Lexington Catholic is missing a few players who are still competing in football tomorrow.

I assume Lexcath was missing their starting PG and 2G in Donovan Morris and Joseph Ogbognu (sp?)....two leading receivers for the Knights football team. Saw both over the summer and they are difference makers. Really good athletes.

Not saying Newcath loses if those two play, but they certainly would have made things tough at both ends for the Breds' guards.

Still nice to see Newcath go to an event like this and pull out a W. Great exposure for those kids considering the other teams and players there.

I find it hard to believe that either of these 2 would start over Luke Johnson.

Did Peter Whitman play for LexCath? I know he was out for the opener.

No, he was in dress clothes

The three times I saw them over the summer the three started and played together.

Johnson is big and versatile enough to play the 1, 2, or 3.

Thanks.

Sounds like tonight was a good game but one with both teams having full rosters would be a dandy. Nice to develop depth though.
