Really huge win for Spencer County. Taylor isn’t what they’ve been in years past. But still a respected program with great recent history. Wins like this are what the Spencer County youth movement needs to build confidence.

Ballard has the same weakness as last year. They can’t shoot, but keep trying. Their defense usually overcomes it. It just didn’t work for them last night.

Boo probably sat and watched his team. A lot of established head coaches do this in scrimmages if they have an assistant that they trust. Helps the head coach take a step back and see how his kids play and respond to certain situations.

PRP had a very un-PRP type season last year. Injuries and chemistry issues. Hopefully some kids have matured a little. They’ll be a force in the 6th this year.

I really like his game. He doesn’t put up huge stats, so you don’t hear a ton about him. But if you understand basketball, you can see how valuable of a player he is.

Also, finances will be a factor. If his parents didn’t cover his living expenses or Desales tuition, KHSAA will ding him.

D1Nationals and the gold showcase have several shoe teams every year. Other than those 2 divisions, it’s nothing.

The only person that thinks the Bolus rankings have any credibility, is Rick Bolus.

It definitely is. There's not a more dated building in the state.

I love the way Anthony Wales plays. Very skilled, polished, high IQ. He's a winner. He also made a great college choice. He could go down as a legend at Samford

Stats aren't facts. If they were, the 15th and 16th region would be an NBA pipeline. Competition level factors heavily in stats. Averaging 15 in the 6th, 7th, or 11th is like averaging 25 in most of the other regions. Those are facts.

David Johnson. He's a gifted athlete, but has an incredible skill set. Too many kids get hyped based on upside or "what if". David is highly skilled, very athletic, and has the IQ to match.

They're loaded. David Johnson looked like a future lottery pick this summer.

Definitely a great set up for life after basketball. Congrats to him and his family.

I believe the schools upload them individually. So it's up to your AD. A lot of schools are still plugging games in too.

Well. If you want to look at lifestyle, it's a huge step up. Jackson is a very depressing place. The population is continually in decline. There's no job market, so nobody is moving there. He'll be 30 minutes from Louisville.

If he does that, he'll have to go somewhere else. Aspire isn't a prep school. The kids go to Desales.

Breeze is a great skill guy. Also has a lot of great contacts. He worked with my son several times, and helped with college recruiting also.

I completely agree. The atmosphere is also much better than the LIT, regionals, or even the Sweet 16. Packed gym, people basically sitting on the court.

He's very gifted offensively, but doesn't always play hard, and can't guard a fence post. Hoptown's staple is defense and effort. That's the recipe for a bad marriage.
