Tandy is the perfect player for a camp setting. He lights it up in ISO ball. I’d still take Allen for David Johnson over him. But all 3 should end up at high major schools.

He’ll have his first power 5 offer this week. Then his second one...

But he’s assured to play in the Hoopfest... That exposure is a bigger deal individually. Can’t really get much better during a high school season. That’s the same reason JCPS kids should look harder at Fairdale. KOB is worth it.

I hope it works out for the kid. But I doubt this is his last high school.

He will play the 2 or the 3 in college. And at a high level. He has a really high game IQ, great length, a nice shot, smooth athleticism, and something nobody else seems to be mentioning.... he can guard multiple positions. I watched him at AAU state in Lexington. I was very impressed with his defense off the ball, and how he communicated with his teammates. This kid is the package.

That didn’t happen. Matt’s 17u rolled through the entire tournament.

Wasn’t he at LCA or Lex Cath as an assistant after Georgetown too? Anyhow, the last 3 years have included 2 colleges and a high school that he left high and dry. Valdosta, Eminence, KWC, now Ashland... hasn’t hopped at all. It’s the life of a coach though. Hopefully he’s found his spot.

I was making a joke. He’s hopped around quite a bit between high school and college. He was the Eminence coach for about a week last year.

So who will be the coach next year?

Larry Miller has been working on the Hopkinsville schedule for next season... take that for whatever.

A coach for starters

Most schools prefer their incoming players to enroll in summer school so they’re allowed to work out and participate in individual workouts.

By his own admission, he was way behind when he got to Trinity. Went to Central for his freshman year.

It’s basically like playing D1 basketball while in higher school. They play the best of the best.

I would say that since he was an advocate of Steele, this is a non story now.

Did he sign? If he signed, it’s up to the new head coach to decide. If Steele gets it, it’s probably a non issue.
