One of the top incoming freshman in state, Jack edelen says he is going to play for Ballard. Edelen Dad was assistant at Male last season and former North oldham coach.

Good choice but Trinity would have been a better choice.

So now kids entering high school 'announce' their decisions. Joke!!!!!

Thank Lebron.

I hope it works out for the kid. But I doubt this is his last high school.

I'm going to go all "old man" here and say that I hope Ballard teaches kids to capitalize the first letter in a sentence.

As both a parent and a teacher I can't imagine encouraging my child to post anything like this on social media. I'm floored by the amount of people who are likely totally okay with it.

Couldn't agree more, when I was in high school wherever you lived dictated where you played.

Louisville is open enrollment for JCPS. Some kids have to get on the bus to

Go to certain schools at 5:30 AM. Once you start high school, if you transfer then you have to go to your home district, not sure where Edelin is but I believe is home district is Ballard.

Whew!!! Glad to hear this! This has been weighing on my mind! What a joke

Next move is taking his talents to South Beach! I can't wait for the special on ESPN.

I'm about as old school as they come, but I am not as bothered by this as many of you. In Louisville, you have some choices about where you go to high school. This young man, who I do not know, used social media to let people know where he is going to high school. I believe lots of other incoming freshmen, both athletes and non-athletes, have used social media to let people know where they are going to high school. Just doesn't seem to be that big of a deal to me. But what do I know (just ask my son).

My question is who cares where he goes to high school? If you are one of these that do.....let me help make your day even better.

I have decided to go to Arby's for lunch today.:dancingpa:taz:
