Butler doesn’t seem to be what everyone thought they’d be this year. At least, yet.

If it’s regarding Taylor, I heard he’s no longer in school there. Timing is really odd. It’ll cost him a year of high school. Not sure why he’s gone though.

Looking forward to the Cozart/Miles match up on the first day. Male/Collins is also an intriguing matchup. Trinity and Ballard should win both of their games pretty easily. Then I’ll be back for day 3 when it really gets good.

I can say as a parent, it’s a great experience. I miss watching my son play in the KOB. He got to do it a few times. It’s a great experience.

The scoreboard is the scoreboard... but Spencer is young. I’m sure it was a learning moment for them. Have fun against Ballard in the KOB.

Yes twitter. It’s a social media apparatus. Great during sporting events, as it gives minute by minute updates. They were down big. Came back late against back ups. I wasn’t there. Is it a lie?

Against who? They ramped up the schedule this year, and now you see what happens. Don’t worry, they have Western Hills next...

Based on the Taylor Co twitter, this one was never close. Jumped out to a big lead. Spencer came back late. Kind of like they did against Oldham I guess.

David Johnson is the best all around player in the state.

I’ll add my bits since I’m familiar... JJ is a 2-3 offensively, but can guard 4 players defensively. Great teammate. Great at getting in the lane for buckets. Willing to do whatever needs to be done to get the win. He had offers from Morehead and SEMO. Not sure if those offers are still good, but he’d be a great NAIA or D2 player. At the D1 level, he’s a role player.

Love the KOB.

Lack of size. Lack of depth. Better schedule than last year. Could be a long season in Taylorsville.

Strange timing.

KOB sometimes takes teams because they know they’ll help with the gate. Spencer doesn’t have any size. They’ll probably end up in the small gym after their first game.

With his talent, and their schedule, he’s going to have a massive year statistically.

From a name recognition standpoint, maybe. But Fern Creek has a lot of talent. JTown is well coached, and returns a lot from a team that really came on strong at the end of the season. Bullitt East will be much better than they were last year. Bullitt Central returns their entire team. Butler has some great talent, and they’re really well coached. PRP will always be PRP. I don’t know much about Doss or Desales.

Gaither always has his teams ready to play. And this year, he has the best backcourt in the 8th region.

The Trinity hate is funny to me. They’re a nationally prominent program. Regardless of what was said before the season, the coaches knew they’d be down a little. They’re playing a lot of young guys. The injuries, and an uncharacteristic lack of consistency at QB have plagued them.

The most interesting thing about the 8th region the last couple of years, has been the 8th region thread on this site. Hahahahaha

I’d go Collins over WV simply because of coaching and guard play. But it’ll get sorted out during the season. Spencer is well coached. Look forward to seeing how their young guys progressed in the off season.

If you knew, why did you ask? I clearly said that I’d heard he was gone. But wasn’t sure. I do know Roger McClendon is who’s running Aspire now. There was a big article when they moved to Holy Cross.

That’s my understanding.

All of those guys are gone. It’s not the same people that brought Aspire to Louisville. Roger McClendon and Tim Barnett are the Aspire guys now. They’re locals. When Bassett graduates early and committed to WKU, the money oddly left town.....
