Johnson Central 51 Ashland 0
Congrats to Johnson Central. Wow, what a team. Just wondering why Ashland didn't try changing things up a little in the 2nd half. Obviously nothing was working. Great job guys, now go take it all.

Ashland/Johnson Central Updates
The most fireworks on the Ashland side, beside the ones going off when JC scores, was when a few fans in the Ashland stands got into a shouting match with the Ratliffs telling them to, "... Why don't you all just stay in Paintsville." Arguments stated and got pretty heated.

4A Playoffs: Johnson Central vs. Ashland
As much as I want to see Ashland play Thanksgiving week, I think that the football players that play basketball will be suiting up come next Monday. Johnson Central is just too strong for Ashland to handle. I hope they prove me wrong, I really do. I just don't think it's going to happen. I do, however, think Ashland puts up more than just 6 points this meeting.

Ashland vs. Bourbon County Predictions (4A Round 2)
Game day! Cats should win this one, thought it will be a tough, cold one in Paris. Ashland 28 Bourbon Co 21

Mason County vs. Ashland (4A Round 1)
Game day!!! Should be a good night for the Cats. Ashland has too much fire power for the Royals. Ashland 35 Mason Co. 14

Mason County vs. Ashland (4A Round 1)
I know Mason Co's record is 4-6, but do they have any threats that the Cats need to be aware of? I saw on KHSAA that they have passes for 900+ yards, but only one qb was listed with only 700+ yards passing... Not sure what the issue is.

I was told by Dicky and Mark Swift that, "You have to come to school to play."

Good win for the Cats going in to post season.

4A #10 Ashland vs. 6A Tates Creek
Game day. I hope TC will bring a good crowd with them to Putnam Stadium tonight. Should have good football weather this evening. It will be a tough task beating this TC team, however with the injury to their qb, I think the Tomcats pull this one out in a close one. Ashland 28 Tates Creek 21

As Iron Sharpens Iron...
For the longest time, Ashland had an open date for the last weekend in the season. I just noticed that Trinity has an open date this week.

4A #10 Ashland vs. 6A Tates Creek
So, does anyone know if Ashland is going to sit their starters? That will play a big roll in my decision making. Not to say that I'm going to root for TC, it's just that I believe it will be a more competitive game. Someone mentioned to me the other day that Roberts and one of the Wright brothers have not practiced due to injury. In info on that as well?

4A #10 Ashland at Greenup County
Game day!!! I expect a good defensive game this evening out back of the "Green House". However, the big play possibilities for Ashland will prove a bit too much for the Musketeers. Ashland 28 Greenup Co 14

Russell @ Ashland 10/20 (Freshmen Kiwanis Bowl)
Not sure of record, but Ashland freshman beat Spring Valley last night. Spring Valley usually has good teams. Andy Lane is extremely fast and has good vision out of the back field. He scored last Friday during the East Carter game. Justin Bradley is the qb. He struggles with his accuracy, but does make good decisions. I don't know if we will see John Stone (lineman), Blake Hester or Bryce Carly (both running backs) during this game. Stone started a couple of games at center for the Cats while TJ Love was injured. Both Hester and Carly have started almost the entire season in the defensive backfield on varsity, but have carried the ball very little, if any at all on varsity. Should be a good matchup. Always a good atmosphere.

4A #10 Ashland at Greenup County
Tomcats should win this one, however, it will be the best test for them since the Russell game. Greenup's defense can actually stop teams. The Cats defense should take care of business. Ashland's last 4 opponents, no disrespect, aren't that good. Should be a good indicator before the matchup with Johnson Central. Go Cats.
