  1. Long term injuries. Some play aau only.
  2. With 4 juniors not coming back to play, I would have to disagree with that assessment. After the first 8, I would say that depth is an issue. In addition, several of the first 8 have lingering injury/illness issues. There will be plenty of PT for all.
  3. I would not make too many judgments from summer ball. Summer ball is purely optional. Could Campbell have key contributors on vacation or injured? We use summer ball to develop our bench, so we play a lot of youth. We have 3 starters out injured and another just back from mono, so we have to play a lot of youth anyway.
  4. Is Coach Kelsch married? If so, has he told his wife yet?
  5. Open Job: Notre Dame Academy It is my understanding that Coach Foust has resigned and now leaves the NDA job open. This is the title of this thread. So has it been filled yet???
  6. " A coach that was Gatorade player of the year, was a top recruit her senior year. Held the scoring record in KY for years. Has sent multiple kids to the next level. Has more connections with college coaches (who respect her tremendously) than any other NKY coach. Coaches at a school that is the best in KY for academics. Has a community that backs the school and it's athletics with a small town pride that is hard to match anywhere. And has a brother that coaches at Louisville! (you talk about transfers!) And you talk about connections! She is respected and has all kinds of connections. And the school ain't too shabby. The rest of NKY better hope they never open up the doors to influencing kids to come to your school because, if the Ft Thomas schools could hold them, HHS would most likely become untouchable in girls bball in NKY." Carefull what you say regarding others!! Your knowledge is limited to HHS staff and outreach at Higher Institutions. There are others in NKY that are equally as accomplished and established contacts thruout the collegiate ranks of all divisions up and thru the WNBA. You might be surprised. Coach Jamie is an excellent Coach with a sound pedigree and connections .Coach Burt is equally as talented and has many reaches in the basketball community that is well respected. I do not know of one Coach or staff that has DISRESPECTED this Duo. So please keep it to the subject matter of the topic for those of us still bothering to read this thread!!
  7. What I am hearing is that the district is consistently losing enrollment and could eventually be absorbed by Dayton or Bellevue.
  8. Decisions regarding the medical fitness of a player are the responsibility of the training/medical staff. If she was cleared by the that staff, then this is not a coaching issue what so ever.
  9. Don't the new "Satellite Camp" rules prevent guest coaches at these camps now? If true, this is totally a waste of time.
  10. I'm so glad I spent $ to send my kid to two of his camps!
  11. Urban: I don't care what you do at a camp. I care what your HS coach says
  12. If KHSAA has not ruled on the transfer, and, she is participating in summer practices and games (Considering I saw her on the court in an HHS uniform at SK yesterday, this is affirmative), this is a moot point. RCC9 and HHS positions are one and the same.
  13. I always wonder how we get any coaches to stay here when you can go to Texas and make a living coaching HS Football w/o any other job.
  14. HS ball is definitely more demanding than AAU ball. For those of you that would choose AAU ball over HS ball because of exposure opportunity what do think better prepares an athlete for the next level, intense HS ball, or creampuff AAU, ball?
  15. Is AAU ball killing HS Basketball? Way too many kids showing up with stress and fatigue injuries into the junior year for it to be coincidence. It seems to me that athletes are not taking enough time off for their bodies to recover, and , they are focusing excessively on one sport. This is cutting HS careers short.
  16. Its not for anyone here to judge why a kid does or does not transfer. When this athlete goes to her 20th HS reunion and is not recognized by anyone, she will reflect on this decision then.
  17. Did Martin play for Coach Levandusky? Could this be about 3 coaching changes in 4 years?
  18. Clyde did not mention that the transfer rules are only triggered if the athlete has played varsity minutes. Where athletes played in middle school is irrelevant.
  19. I would look at the pool of former players who are still in the area. I think the next HC should already be connected to the school in some way. I can think of a very prominent former Boone player that just graduated from TMC. IDK if she has a teaching degree though.
  20. I thought I heard whispers of Boone expanding its district west of Hopeful/Weaver to address capacity issues at Cooper and Ryle?
  21. This is where we have arrived as a society in public employment. Paper credentials count for more that qualification, experience or even performance. I am normally a public school advocate, but they really blew it this time.
  22. Jayhawk95 and Mikayla what a GREAT MOMENT for you!! Success is definitely in your future as a Wildcat!!!!!!!!
  23. Had to be tough being in Wenstal's shadow.
  24. Allow me to correct myself...fat fingers.. she is not the all time leading scorer but still holds one record for most rebounds in a game (31) and shares the single game scoring record (41pts.) with S. Wainscott a recent graduate from TMC. That record to still be standing after almost 40 years is something!!!! Also Coach B has coached at the College level and has been very successful!!
