So.... the defense is good?

I don’t think the 5A is an issue. We certainly expected them to beat three of the five district opponents and possibly all of them. Conner wasn’t expected and I assume that’s what happened..... CCH ain’t coasting in there expecting a running clock in a couple weeks. It’s just Highlands doesn’t have Beau Hodge and exceptional athletes right now. Not many any way. Welcome to earth and a little parity cake town. CCH went through 17 straight losses not long ago.

In years before Eddie there were some good CCH teams really hit with the injury bug. That has been mostly avoided these last two years. Hope they stay healthier.

But the kids are...

Does all this fire the coach stuff go away if they knock off CCH? Is this really all about one kid not playing offense? That’s putting a lot on one kid.

Can Conner keep Highlands out of the playoffs?

Is this statement about Conner or Highlands? Biggest shocker this is at Fort Thomas and not the grass at Conner.

Highlands offense 99% QB runs First half CCH fumbled a punt but then got a pick. CCH turned over on downs at 8 and then Highlands ran out of clock at the other 8. CCH would blitz inside and QB just take off outside.

Certainly sounds like Boyle was a match up issue for Highlands. CCH defense is pretty good. LexCath QB is good and was in a zone and that’s the only one that really hurt CCH. Right now if Highlands beats CCH it’s likely an edge from home field. Any given Friday......

Top three look good. The next 6-7 are interchangeable or tied for fourth.

Who got hurt?

Is this at 700 or 730?

CCH wins but not counting on running clock. Rivalries can be funny. Take them seriously and get a win.

Is there anything encouraging in the Dixie future that might get them competitive?

Did the Colonels lose one of their better corners to injury last week? Do they have the depth to make it up?

Somebody’s just itching to stir it up. Two years ago it would have been a dog fight as the Colonels matched up pretty good at skill positions. But as I said even then the size in the trenches would probably have give the edge to Trinity. Pretty good considering the size of the schools.

There’s no reason. Why risk starters after running clock?

Been ready since March Madness ended. Bring it on.

Is it really that great watching a team run up and down dunking on a weak opponent and running them out of the gym. I put myself in those kids shoes and see no problem watching them holding the game down. Or a team holding at the end and making a victory more likely.

If you need possessions don’t you have the option to foul?

Have to assume England in the mix. Was he hurt last year?
