Highlands comes into this game against another ranked opponent following a loss to one of the best teams in the state. Conner comes in with a four game winning streak. Who wins this game of top 10 Class 5A teams? Can Highlands prove they are still in the discussion for the class? Or will Conner prove they are a team to contend with?

Last Friday was a lot of should'a, could'a, would'a being down 13-0 in the 4th with throwing 2 INT's in our own endzone to a great Boyle Cty team but at the end of the day the Birds took it on the chin 30-0. No excuses. Birds will look to make a statement this Friday.

Highlands' defense should be the big difference here. The Birds are tough on that side of the ball. But Conner's no slouch on D, either. I won't be surprised to see the Cougars hang around for a little while.

 

Surprisingly (at least to me, anyway), these two schools haven't met since 2006.

I just found out that the UK marching band is playing before the game, not at halftime.

I believe Jared Hicks to be possibly the best QB in NKY this year and it is a shame his line has been relatively inconsistent. Highlands defense will really frustrate that Conner offense. HHS by a few scores.

I just found out that the UK marching band is playing before the game, not at halftime.

 

They are playing My Old Kentucky Home, the UK fight song, and the National Anthem before the game. They are marching at half time.

I agree with this, I don’t think there is much of a chance for a running clock in this matchup.
