Ditto the comment above about the offense being like last year. The defense was good except two bigger plays. Better QB and this could have been a toss up because The D held up pretty good, a few more first downs and one score on the possessions inside the five and this is a one score game near the end. It’s not disrespectful to lose but believe the teams were not lopsided. The QB draws just look like Eddie doesn’t trust them to run the offense they did in 17-19. -

So maybe after they blew up the James deal they had to ultimately do what they didn’t do for James..... -

There must be two horse mouths. Seems like a logical explanation. We’ll have to watch the staff to see what happens I guess. -

So, if the Franklin Co coach backed out because Highlands insisted he keep certain coaches on staff, does that mean Sphire agreed to do so? And which coaches were foisted upon him? -

Look forward to watching the game next week. Always prefer the night game but you can’t have it every year. -

BG was the better team as said, but not dramatically so. Which, of BG wins next week I just feel 5A is down this year. Both teams in the 2019 and 2018 title game were much better as well as 2017 CCH. Not sure how this BG compares to BG 2016? Someone from BG can opine? -

No doubt it has been a great run. If we had been told that was the future in 2016 we’d have taken it in a heart beat. 55-3 and two title. Hope it goes on... Good luck purples. -

I think the fact that the D kept the game even this close against 6 turnovers says a lot. I guess the QB draws continued because as good as Eddie is he couldn’t come up with anything for this group. I really think if Caleb had designed roll outs he would have had better views and thrown more confidently. -
As you approach 275, the right lane is for 275 and the left lane is for local NB 75. Most likely give yourself extra time and stay 75 NB to the Ft Wright exit. If traffic backed up way back to Florence you can take almost any exit to get over to US 25 which CCH is on. Everyone will Have the same idea so you’ll still need a lot of extra time.

Unless Eddie has a lot of new stuff on offense I fear this could actually go ugly. If BG is as good as many say and the Colones have their normal (this season) slow start and anemic passing it could be 35-7. Hope not. Having #10 finally on D is almost a shut down corner which helps the D overall. I think Caleb needs more roll outs with multiple receiver options. The Colonels probably need a flawless game.

I’ve said for awhile that having Caleb on designed runs up the middle so much was not a good sign. Mason has made an impact on defense but they haven’t seemed to utilize his speed in the passing game to stretch the field. -

Help where they need it. Speed on offense and corner. Not good when your most common play is QB draw. IMO. -
Just figured they’d run into a good team and struggle. They’ve been streaky all year (CCH). The number of QB draws to me is endemic of the passing struggles. LexCath secondary played great and had the team speed to lock down CCH. Will Geiseler and now the corner transfer from Cooper, and the transfer from Ohio (both now allowed to play) make a difference?

And it was strange to see Highland sitting around while CCH ran their pregame. Highlands just did some warm up at the last minute. Pregame at home first? -

The talent gap is smaller but exists. The close wins by the Colonels against Beechwood and Dixie this year I characterize as “system “ wins. The players are pretty good and know the system. A great system. Hopefully when the Colonels meet a really good team in the playoffs they’ve really got it down and play well enough to keep winning.
