Covington Catholic enters this game undefeated, only allowing more than one score in a game against an explosive Lexington Catholic offense. Boone County started the season with two wins, but has been on a four game losing streak since. Can the Rebels surprise the Colonels? Will the Covington Catholic continue winning?

Obviously this is going to be a first half running clock. I just hope there aren't injuries this week for either team.

This is going to be running clock first half. Young guys should get some nice reps.

Boone County is one of Cov Cath's original rivals, dating back to the Colonels' first football season in 1967. In a time when relatively few public school coaches in Kentucky were agreeable to play against private schools, Head Coach Jack Turner and his Boone County Rebels were one of only two NKY public schools willing to play Cov Cath in their first season (Newport was the other).

The Boone County/Cov Cath game became a traditional season-opener for the teams, with the two playing one another in their first game of the year a total 31 times out of the 38 contests they played against one another, and the series record stands at Boone County with 12 wins, and Cov Cath with 26. Cov Cath has won 9 of the last 10 games they have played against one another, with the most recent game being played in Week 0 of the 2014 season. That game - a Saturday home game at Cov Cath - was ended at the half due to to excessive heat, with the Colonels winning 39-6.

Does anyone know the status of the Lawrie, Roedig, Schwartz, Holtz, Jadon Stava or Boydston's injuries? I believe there were 17 players in street clothes at the beginning of the game for CCH last week.

I'm listening in for the action to get started. They must either be delayed or are having some technical difficulties.

Boone tries to lateral on the kick return. Penalized for an illegal forward pass.

1st down is snapped over the QB's head and almost brings up a safety. No gain on 2nd down at the 1 yard line.

3rd and 9 Boone County on their own 1 yard line.

Pass to Michael Mayer for a 13 yard TD.

The first TD of the night was also a pass from Jacob to Mayer.
