  1. Danville runs the clock and gets one game closer to the carpet...them boys can play
  2. Williamsburg is a very tough place to get a road win, especially during playoff time. I think everything hinges on how well they defend Hazards running game. I'm going with Hazard sneaking out a 28-21 W.
  3. Harris hands down. Starting RB for pre-season #1, defending national champs, and a position that has produced Heisman contenders and two winners since Sabah took the reigns...Roll Tide
  4. I see your point and it would be the most plausible solution. However, this would be a big set back for small schools. Virtually removes some solid teams out of the chance for a title run based solely on enrollment. As an advocate for small schools, I think the current class system gives us the most even playing field possible. But I do agree with reconfiguring the qualifications for making the playoffs. I don't know what could be done other than awarding byes or going back to inter-district playoffs (which was awful), but I'm all ears if you have something better?
  5. Has the POTENTIAL to be a great game depending on which Cville team shows up. If it's the one similar to last years in this round I look for it to be another great game. Due to Russellvilles consistency all year I think you have to give them the edge going in
  6. Caverna has a few very nice skill players, BUT look for this one to be put away early by Russellville. I concur 100% that their biggest concern should be to get out of this one injury-free
  7. My understanding is that the pentalty had to occur during the play for Campbellsville to be given the first
  8. Campbellsville got hosed on a weak pass interference call on a td pass where both kids were battling for a ball. That call single handledly changed the game and Bethlehem capitalized like good teams do. Cville players did lose their cool but as a fan I couldn't really blame them based on pentalty ratios. And just for the record there wasn't any coaches thrown out.
  9. Should Russellville be considered in bumping Pikeville for that #3 spot? I understand Pikeville lost to a very good Paintsville team in OT, but the Panthers are looking mighty tough at this point and seem to be a serious contender to challenge Beechwood in the West. Especially with the addition of Johnny Drumgole.
  10. Only way TC becomes a serious contender, or just a force in their area for that matter, is to steal a page from the basketball team and bring in a TON of talented players. Not out of the realm of possibilities, but with the probation issues they better tread lightly. I think Dudley will realize soon he isn't going to have the same level of success at TC and gets out.
  11. Monroe wins this one in convincing fashion and improve to 3-1. This team will be tough out come playoff time!
  12. It is a fact. Just like it's also a fact that he had his team turn their backs to Cville as the player/team awards were given. Love the call by Cville to score and pretty sure many across the state would probly agree with it also.
  13. I believe that the Eagles run away with this one and get that 4-0 start. This team has proved they can win in a variety of different ways against very different opponents. They have talented players all over the field on both sides of the ball and seem to be set on making a serious playoff run this season. I believe we will really find out how good this team is when they make the trip to Danville in two weeks.
  14. Not a chance Adair beats E-town. The Panthers are just too good, even for a very talented Adair team. I think 9-1 is a lock though and I could potentially see the Indians winnning 1-2 games in the playoffs.
  15. I believe Green runs away with this one easily. I have been impressed with the Dragon ground game thus far, especially the big play potential of Matney and Brewer. The real question is what will the TC faithful think when the legendary Dudley Hilton is handed a 0-4 start after showing some promise after last year's finish?
  16. Taylor has no answer for Cville's speed. Look for the Eagles to win relatively easy in this one. In regards to their athletic infractions, couldn't happen to a finer group :thumb:
  17. Danville seems to be a very tough team heading into the 2015 season. I don't see Ads having much trouble with Larue as they pull this one out with ease. I do agree that Larue is much improved and with their young/experienced talent they will be a force in the near future.
  18. A lot of hype around the Cville program for the 2015 season and rightfully so with the weapons and experience they have at their disposal. BUT...this group has yet to prove they can win against a quality opponent on the road and that is exactly what they have in front of them this Friday @ Glasgow. I look for Glasgow's numbers to play the biggest factor in this one as they wear down and pull out a "W" in a close one against the Eagles.
  19. Adair by as much as they want barring any silly turnovers. With a solid ground attack led by Lasley and Melton's arm through the air I just find it hard to believe that Taylor can hang with Adair on the road.
  20. As stated by "optionfootball" discipline has been one thing Campbellsville has lacked for years and is one reason why they haven't won with some of the talent they have had. I also agree that the culture that existed under Coach G was much better. With that being said our upper-classmen were around during that time and the culture/toughness still lingers and is still evident in getting them through games that they have owned for years. It's been a long time since Campbellsville beat Green and I don't see the streak ending Friday @ Green!
  21. Total points scored in the 8 yr. span (2006-2013) mentioned above is 368-94. Without the presence of Young, I have a hard time believing that the Eagles can pull this one off against a solid Dragon team coming off a good road win @ Larue Co. Although I haven't seen Campbellsville in person this year, I have looked at the records of the two teams they beat (Russell Co./Taylor Co.) and both are 0-3 leading me to believe the Eagles have simply been a beneficiary of down years in talent by those schools. Campbellsville may be a different team than in previous years but they have not closed the gap that much and are not ready to take down a quality opponent like Green Co. I look for Brewer to have a big night against Campbellsville due to his physicality, and the Dragons once again out muscle the Eagles and continue their impressive streak against them 32-8 in Dragon Stadium!
