Lynn Camp can win if they can move the ball, now I know that is very simplistic but that has been their problem, they have the guys but simple mistakes have hurt them, one or two missed blocks and they can't move the ball. If they can get in some second and short situations and put some pressure on the Harlan defense they may have a chance.

I thought that the offensive line for Whitley did a good job, especially #72, he owned the guy in front of him all night long, trouble is there was just one #72 for Whitley. Whitley's QB let his team down with the fumbles, I know he did not do it on purpose but the QB is supposed to be the leader. In the two games I have seen Lynn Camp and Bell, it looks like Whitley just needs somebody to take charge. Who is the backup to the starter at QB? Bell did a great job and proved that they are a step above the rest.

Nothing wrong with a new slogan, or rallying cry. There just don't seem to be that many Yellow Jackets joining in.

Looks like this game may end up being the high lite of the first 5 games for Williamsburg, maybe they should have had more fun in the win.

Congrats to Whitley for a convincing win, I thought it would be closer. As for Whitley playing Lynn Camp, I would love to see it end. Yeah the Wildcats won two of the past 5, but I think that actually should be 2 out of the last 20, and I don't think that they get prepared for Williamsburg by playinng Whitley, Williamsburg throws the ball and gives a totally differendt look to teams while the Colonels throw the ball too.....not two but too....they threw it once Friday night. Lynn Camp has only scored 13 points in two games and they only got the 13 becuase Whitley subbed down, and Whitley only scored 55 because the running clock and subs kept them from scoring more.:isurrender: The Wildcats need to find some offense. I think Whitley needs to replace LC on the schedule with teams like Lexington Catholic, (not Trinity) or Scott County or Bell....wait they play Bell... but you get the idea. Face it, 18 out of 20 years outside of the gate neither team benifits much from playing the game even if it has been played for 53 years or whatever it is.

I also heard that the Jackets will be short a running back, although I have not heard just how bad it is or how long he will be out.

I have not heard or seen anything in the papers to think that he won't play. Sounds like the Whitley camp is trying to keep it a secret so LC will have to prepare for both QBs. If Lynn Camp will come out and smack Whitley in the mouth two or three times early they will question their heart, and then the Wildcats can take over....It took Lexington Cath. three quarters but when they smacked Whitley around a couple of times they took over. Remember WC is 0-2 in their last two trips to Mitchell Field

Joe Pa at Penn St. always said it was your job to score points and his job to stop you and if he could not then he needed to get a better team. That pretty much sums it up for me. The sun don't shine on the same dog's tailend every day, so Matney could use that as a motovational point at a later date. You get beat, move on and get better. As for the score, I don't see that as running it up at all, there were alot of games with similiar scores from around the state, and I have not seen them complaining.:isurrender:

I have listend to alot of radio guys over the years and mostly they know just enough to get coaches under fire with stuff like that. Generally speaking I would think that coaches know more than most radio guys who just show up on Friday night barrow a roster and do the game. Although the kid may be pretty good, my question would be is he ready mentally and physically for the beating that he would take in HS as opposed to MS....big difference. If Lynn Camp makes a game of it (and I think they will) Whitley will be in for LONG season.

I can see your point but it is a rival game and Lynn Camp would love nothing better than to put Whitley in a 0-2 hole. In another thread it was said Whitley committed 20 penalties in the Lex Cath game, and if they do that Friday (which is a possiblity) then they will struggle.

I could not have been further off in my pick, it must have been a sterling effort from the Jags, looks like if they continue to improve and play well they may well challenge for a not only a playoff spot but a home playoff game.

With Lebanion's status unknown it could change how the game is played. I would not bet against Lynn Camp at home. Whitley will have to improve from the 40+ defensive effort from last week. Lynn Camp will have to find some type of offense. It could come down to just who is the better shape and who wants it more.

I did not think the loss of the starting QB slowed the Whitley offense as much as it could have....the radio guys said he stepped in and did a great job.

Anybody got any stats on the game? I am interested in how many yard Raglin had.

20+ penalties for Whitley, that has to be some kind of a record. Sounds like the Whitley offense is as stout as ever, they just need to find some kids who can play defense.

Corbin is going to be Corbin, in only their second year I think that Harlan (even with a great coach in Tom Larkey) is still looking for an identity. Both teams will change a great deal in the coming weeks and nobody will remember what happened here. Although it does do a team well to get started (even in a scrimmage) on the right foot.

At least the it was only the shoe and not the foot too.....

Adrian Wardrup is a heck of an athlete, and a game changer, I would love to see him on a team like Pulaski. As good as he is, it just won't be enough. Pulaski 46 North 12
