  2. In Kentucky the following is the Disorderly Conduct charge...I am sure if differs in Mass. 525.055 Disorderly conduct in the first degree. (1) A person is guilty of disorderly conduct in the first degree when he or she: (a) In a public place and with intent to cause public inconvenience, annoyance, or alarm, or wantonly creating a risk thereof: 1. (2) Disorderly conduct in the first degree is a Class A misdemeanor. Effective: If this happened in Kentucky there would not be an issue, he would have met the elements of the crime.
  3. 1. Clay Co 2. South L. 3. Corbin 4. Knox Central 5. Bell Co. 6. Whitley Co. 7. North Laurel 8. Harlan Co. 9. M'boro 10. Lynn Camp I think the spots 5-10 may be pretty fluid thoughout the season. I see the top 4 being pretty solid. However Knox Central with a new coach could be a wild card, being Knox Central in general makes them somewhat of a mystery, or a daytime drama....
  4. Congrats to Corbin on the tough win on the road. Crawford may not be the best player in the region but what he does is make everyone better around him. I will say this although Region13 strong in his belief that Hobbs is better, if I was building a HS team Crawford was be my first pick, then Wilson.....from there I would look a several others.
  5. In all honesty, Casey may have had more talant on the floor tonight, Whitley was missing their best athlete, but they played hard and found a way to win.
  6. Whitley County a lower teir team in the 13th but getting better..... Whitley beats Rock by 10 in the Hoopin it up Whitley beats Casey three times....by 2...by 24...by 6 McCreary beats Whitley by 47 at McCreary. 4-1 record against the 12th not bad for a lower tier team. The 13th is stronger, and has more teams who can play, maybe not a great team like the South Laurels of the past couple of years but they have a bunch that can really play. Corbin South North Jackson Bell Middlesboro Cumberland Clay Knox.......just to name a few BTW how many State Championships does Lincoln have, and how many does South have, I think Steve Wright is a great coach and there are other great coaches in the region. Hey why not pick an all star team and play or better yet have a Christmas tourney next year 12th verses teh 13th.........that would settle it and prove that the 13th is the strongest by a wide margin.
  7. Whitley goes 3-0 verses the Rebels, one at Laurel County, one at Wayne County, and now one at Whitley County. It is really hard to beat any team three times in one season.
  8. The drought ends for the Colonels as they come from behind to win one. Jordan McCumbers went scoreless the Colonels struggled offesively but played solid defense and pulled out the win in over time. Ben Prewitt hit two free throws to tie the game at 46 with a few seconds left and Casey could not get off a shot. In overtime the Colonels out scored the Rebels 13-7 and pull out their first win in 8 games. Jordan Akins played well at the point for the Colonels and showed that he is going to be a good point guard as he matures. Mikey Storms came off the bench and jumped started the offense in the second half. It was a total team effort, with the defense of Shawn Harris and Zack Powers making a huge differnce. Casey Co. is a solid club Cannon and Jefferies are very good players who make their team better. Congrats on 12 wins Colonels.
  9. 1. M*A*S*H 2. 2 and a Half Men 3. Happy Days 4. King of Queens 5. Scrubs Honorable Mention Friends Seinfield King of the Hill
  10. Depending on the amount of alcohol in the system of the guy, it could impair him even if he was under the legal per se limit. He knew the rules (I assume) and he broke them, end of story, sounds to me like he got a break getting to keep his job. They would have put me in the un-employeement line (or under the jail)
  11. From what I have heard there are some exceptionally strong kids and but they still have some work to do. The coaches are driving the kids to get stronger and better and the kids are responding better than anybody could have hoped for. I will say one thing this is one hard working group of kids and they are chomping at the bit to get out for spring practice to get their feet on the grass and see just how their hard work has paid off.
  12. Going out of region is tough, and Cumberland will not get any calls.
  13. You are right, but only becuase the crowd did not tell him to do it.
  14. I was glad to see Glenn Gray back on the court as an official, I thought he did a great job as did the whole crew. The officials made several close calls for both sides and I did not see either team complaining more than what coaches do in an average game.
  15. Maybe they were still feeling good about scoring 100....Go Green Co...LOl
  16. This is a shocking score, McCreary has some nice talant and should be a factor in the post season, this must just be a bump in the road.
  17. Yeah you are right I just forgot about Bell.....but I still think Middlesboro could be there, but on second thought they might not have the dogs to win it but they could really have a serious say as to who does.
  18. At this point I would put several teams there with a chance In no particuliar order Cumberland Knox Central Corbin South Laurel North Laurel Clay County Pineville Middlesboro Now how these teams do depends alot on how their districts go, if team A has a tough game and Team D has an easy game and does not get worn down Team D could win even if Team A is better. There are still too many variables for me to pick right now. BUT I think that Corbin may be leading the pack but that does not mean I think they will win at this point.
  19. He is a heck of an athlete and played well in the first half helping his team to a 25-6 lead after the first quarter, but Jake Lowrie of Whitley shut him down in the second half, he did score in the second but not on Lowrie. Maybe more impressive was that Whitley faught back made a game of it, getting it to three points with less than 10 left in the game. Middlesboro made free throws down the stretch and sealed the game but Whiltey for the second, third and most of the fourth quarter outplayed Middlesboro. Middlesboro settled for bad shots and Whitley amde shots, Jordan McCumbers really stepped up for the Colonels and they started playing well, although turnovers killed their chances to win. It was a fun game to watch and both teams played hard and clean. Antwan Brown was the difference in the game and he too is a heck of a player, and although the dunks were impressive I thought Brown #3 was the best player on the floor late for Middlesboro when they needed plays to be made he made them and made his free throws. Good Luck to Middlesboro the rest of the way, they have a good team.
  20. I think it is a great compliment to St. X that these young men are mindful enough to go to the service academies knowing that they will have to serve their country after four years of higher learning. Kudos to St. X and Congrats to these fine young men, and Thank You for your sacrifice.
  21. It is sad because those are just such great natural rivals. I was glad to see Whitley renew the games with both Bell and Middlesboro the past couple of years, and although Bell and Middlesboro both won they were good game for the kids, fans and communities. As far as that goes I would love to see Whitley and Corbin play. (I really don't want this to slide into that same old arguement, just making a statement) I think Corbin and Williamsburg should play, along with Lynn Camp and Corbin, Lynn Camp and Middlesboro, Williamsburg and Harlan, Harlan and Middlesboro. North and South Laurel, South and Corbin, North and Bell, South and Whitley, etc.....I guess you can see I like the old rival games and think it really juices up the schedules for all the teams involved. I think games like all of the above are great for high school football in SEKY and for the game in general. Maybe we should throw all those coaches in a room and leave them there till they settle their differences enough to meet on the football fields.
  22. A brutally honest post!!!!! But alot of school are facing the same problems, some coaches just seem to get the right (kids) number out. I look for the number to come up are Rock, as they seem to every time there is a coaching change at any school.
  23. In hindsight I guess Whitley should have just handed the ball the Rob's Raiders and let them score about 120 then they could have really felt good about themselves. I mean that was their goal to score 100 so they could feel good about themselves. To be honest Whitley should have slowed the tempo earlier in the game, but with the youth of the team the players on the floor did not recognize that, they keep playing hard and trying to score. Regardless of the score in the second half the kids kept playing hard and fighting for every basket and they will be better for having been through it.
  24. You are right, but those kids played as subs in the meat of the game, and to be honest it is not entirley accurate, but hey the game is over and I don't think McCreary will have to worry about a return trip to Whitley as I don't see them playing in the future. If Rob was not letting the crowd run the team how come he spent so much time looking up at them. Oh yeah and High fiving a kid who just got a technical foul for a head but, real class. Kudos to Coach Baker and company for acting like sportsmen and not reataliating.
  25. Congrats to Coach Parkey. And Good Luck, remember it is tough following a legend and Larkey is a Rockcastle County Legend.
