Mason Blair (Johnson Central) takes first official visit
You can take all the official visits to NAIA schools that you want. NCAA D2s also.

You can't take official visits as a junior.

I don't know if you know this, but Lafayette will be a force in the 11th.

2018 G Andrew Taylor gets first offer
I've called Andrew a bigger Braxton. He can score from all over but this summer he was getting better at running a team from the PG spot. I'm a huge Braxton fan and agree he is much more of a pure PG than Andrew. Andrew is becoming a better facilitator though.

Yeah I have no dog in the fight. Definitely promoting the heck out of the kid. Which I have no problem with. Anyone can promote any kid. Just up to the player to back it up on the court.

So you're talking about the "letters of interest" that colleges send out in mass? Actual scholarship offers are usually delivered verbally or. And then a school sends the proper paperwork for signing day when that rolls around. But I'm just a wanna be AAU coach so what do I know?

If ruled ineligible now, he would be eligible before Christmas. He stopped playing for East after a handful of games last year. The penalty for a transfer without moving is sitting out one calendar year.

Yeah I looked on Verbal Commits first then went and looked at Donald's story on the kids recruitment. It was stated there that he holds that offer. http://www.prephoopskentucky.com/news_article/show/565468?referrer_id=1412850

According to Donald Yaste of Prep Hoops Kentucky, he holds an offer from Middle Tennessee State. And you don't get written scholarship offers until you go to sign your letter of intent. So whoever told you to that they are able to be scanned and posted on message boards told you wrong.

Off the top of my head, Delvonte McCloud, Ramon Collins and James Baker all left. 3 starters. Could be more.

A friend of mine said WC just doesn't have the talent they used to. What has changed? Is South getting all their kids now?

Cats Pause 7th Region
Trinity is a system team. Systems don't graduate. They'll continue to guard the heck out of people and grind out wins in the 45-40 range. The last couple years Trinity has reminded me of Virginia in the NCAA. Just guard and grind out wins.

Be on the look out for Butler. Coach Goodin will have them rolling before too long.

James Gordon lives in Chicago now.

Tavin Lovan not being ranked #1 is mind blowing. Terry is a really good player but Tavin has a dozen D1 offers and will be a front runner for Mr. Basketball next year.

Footwork is good. Skill level is high. Only consistent issues in AAU were his hands and conditioning but he is working hard to improve in both areas.

Lexington Christian 2015/1016
Freshman Isiah Hunt will be a major factor in that team's success also.

6'9 Sophomore Dalton Perkins will offer Mason County plenty of rim protection.

11th Region Top 3 teams & players
Don't think they are that far ahead of the rest. They are probably the favorite but with that tough district, there's a chance they don't even make the region. I think that 4 of the top 6 teams in the 11th (PLD, Lex Cath, LCA and Lafayette) are in that district.

Cats Pause 12th Region rankings
I would be interested to know the criteria upon which these kids are supposed to be ranked. If you're ranking based on college potential, that's one thing. If you're ranking based on high school productivity, that is another. I think Casey county's success will come as a team and not with any outstanding individuals. Glad to see Lucas Gentry ranked. He's a good player who projects as high D2 or low D1 (in my opinion).

This. It's hard to get great recruitment unless you play AAU where the coaches are.
