The problem with Johnson Central is their defense, they went to the James Hardin School of defense lol! JC doesn't guard anyone.

Whoever they decide to hire needs to look past I have one of the best players in the state and start with the feeder system. All successful programs have a good feeder system. K-5, 6-8, into high school. No one wants to be a one time wonder. Oh by the way building a feeder system does not include recruiting the state, no need if you do it right.

What type of 8th grade team did West Middle School have last year? Seen a lot of 9th graders to be this summer, Trinity is loaded, Bullitt East looked strong and Collins had good looking group.

It happens and not only in Eastern KY. All transfers may not be out of state, but they are definitely out of their original district. Sloan for example at Taylor County?? and he was not the first and will not be the last.

Lots of time the coach is only as good as the players he is coaching. I have to agree Cook does a great job of assembling a high school team, interesting how just by coincidence players seem to move to the school he is coaching?? X's and O's are a lot easier when you have play makers at multiple positions. Maybe over coached in the sweet sixteen the ball was in Faulkner's hands with 11 seconds to go, why call time out?? Just saying

When is the last time he actually competed in a high school game in KY?? Anybody is eligible if you have not played high school sports in 36 weeks.

A fan watching his team playing shouts out let them play when his team is whistled for a foul vs the opponent taking a jump shot, in the next couple of plays the same fan is shouting protect the shooter when his team is on offense. Recruiting is only wrong to most posters on here when it is the other team benefiting. Recruiting is recruiting it doesn't matter where the players come from. We have private schools here in the Louisville area that are cherry picking the city and surrounding county middle schools, oh but that is alright they are only 8th graders lol!!

Do you think maybe Powell County will play Pulaski County, Father vs Son. I remember when Fraley ran a summer team camp at some church in Powell County along with Tom Cramer and others.

I have watched AC basketball for over 20 years, Player development in the past was great, but over the last 4 years fundamentals seem to be missing at positions other than guards, post development is non existent. Maybe it is just the culture of todays game that players are fundamentally weaker.

Bobby Knight was a pretty good coach, ?? not sure about the type of game that is played today AC?? sometimes the game passes you up when you are not willing to change.

Not enough basketballs to go around, Penny, Garmon all the offense is ran for those two players. I have heard that is the major reason Gillis left for Mercer, he did not want to be their garbage man any longer.

If you are recruiting it should not be guidelines of any KHSAA school. Sorry, but cheating is cheating regardless of the school population.

We all know that Rhodes has issues, but the principal is the issue at Cordia, and he takes his orders from the superintendent. I guess some parts of the state still live back in the day when you just keep your mouth shut to keep your job. You would be surprised at what has taken place in that school over the last 5 years. Academic decline, student population decline, health issues (school is filthy), the list goes on and on.
