Names anyone? I am hearing that this could happen quickly

Who are you hearing?

I'm assuming Bobby Bowling will apply for it. If I'm not mistaken, that's the one that they wanted before Ryan got it.

I heard assistant from Mercer County but that was about a week ago.

Bryce Gomes. I've heard his name mentioned but not sure if he has gotten the job.

I heard yesterday that Dave Fraley will be hired as the Pirates next coach. Fraley coached Powell to their first 14th region championship in 1974 before heading to Pulaski County, where he won a state title. His last job was at Knott County Central where he won a regional championship about 6 years ago. I don't know his age but my guess he is close to 70. He began coaching 45 years ago.

If true then it's a big time hire for PC

I agree about it being a good hire. Fraley's been there and done that. A ton of experience. I was told he's still active in fishing and other sports and is as energetic as ever. He has a good golf game too, shooting in the upper 70s to low 80's on most golf courses. Not bad for a man his age.

My source said it was a done deal.

Fraley has a great resume. He's coached 3 different schools to regional titles and won the state title in 1986 with Pulaski. Started out at Powell 45 years ago and now returns to coach there again.
