I heard from a close resource from the Doss boys basketball. Doss has three major transfers.

 

Two transfers from Ohio

 

6"4 guard

 

6"8 power forward

 

One transfer from a county school

 

6"3 shooting guard

 

I see Doss loading up for there 3 6th regional title.

 

 

Can anyone confirm on any of these transfers?

Transfer U. That all Jefferson Co. is anymore.

I haven't heard of any at Doss. Only Fern Creek and Jeffersontown.

Can't confirm kid has enrolled, but heard this kid is a stud.

Coach has some connections in Cincy so would not be surprising.

There has become a lot of movement within Jefferson County kids transferring in recent years, However, few schools have benefitted from bringing in out of state transfers that I recall. This is somewhat new for Jefferson County unless you have the natural kids whose families move with them as part of a relocation. The relocation of out of state kids without families simply moving has typically been seen coming from Eastern KY until the last two years seeing this with Doss if even accurate it has happened again this year.

It is possible the OP may have the details mixed up. I believe there is an out of town transfer from FL that is a good basketball player who is the son of former Seneca Head Football Coach, Lavelle Boyd. He has moved back to Louisville after spending last year or two in FL. He has two sons that came back and at least one is a good football player and the other basketball. Lavelle played his HS career at Doss so it makes perfect sense they would return and enroll at their Dad's former school. There might possibly be a mix-up and this could be the out of state transfers the OP heard about. There would be nothing out of the ordinary if that is the case. Coach Williams is a very good coach and with his track record he attracts good players who move into town.

It happens and not only in Eastern KY. All transfers may not be out of state, but they are definitely out of their original district. Sloan for example at Taylor County?? and he was not the first and will not be the last.
