SVA 8th lost both this week to Camp Ernst and Conner by sizable margins. Conner vs Camp Ernst would be a very nice matchup. Some very good shooters on both squads. Impressed. SVA plays Highlands and Woodland next week. Hoping for better results.

SVA 8th lost by ALOT to Gray (SVA PG absent but Gray was very very good), lost to St Pius by quite a few and beat Ockerman on a buzzer beater. About what was expected after only having 4 girls after tryouts. Camp Ernst this Tuesday and Conner on Thursday. Highlands and Woodlawn the following week before Christmas. Hoping to keep getting better going into the new year.

Chris Bowling had a senior year that was pretty darn good. State Champion QB and led the state in batting average for baseball. Waaaayyy better athlete than big bro Mike. :lol2:

Gabrielle Stewart has verbally committed to Ohio Northern and Teresa Urban has committed to Thomas More. Very happy for these girls as I have seen how hard they have worked!!! Great girls, great families!!! Cant wait to see them play their final year at St Henry. :clap:

A couple thoughts.... Come up with a player pool with stated positions for each player. Assign a coach(s) for each team. Have a draft by those coaches out of the player pool. Dont tie it down to what district each player is from. Include as many schools as possible. Do this for both junior and senior teams. It should spread the talent out proportionately and should give a balanced game. Possibly in the junior game...make it juniors thru freshman eligible for the draft and/or game Allow selected teams to have a practice/meeting at least once before actual game. If the first game is at 5, the second game should be no later than 7. To raise money we could also have a Lawnboy dunking booth set up in the parking lot for parents (and players if they'd like)

From cloudy Erlanger.... St. Henry improves to 16-7 while winning 15-0 in 3 innings over Bracken County. Sophomore Jessie Roark was the winning pitcher and Freshman Carlie Townsend gets her 1st varsity homerun. The Crusaders celebrate Senior night Tuesday at 5:30 while facing Newport Central Catholic. Redtruck, Jamtime, Softball Shark and the rest of the Daddy Cru will have their cans of LawnBoy Away ready!
