I voted for SK only because they are supposed to win. Don't really know much about either team except that SK is 11 - 0 and in head to head competition in regular season is was less than a TD differential. Sounds like a great game coming up! Bob Beaty of Trinity has an incredible won loss record in the playoffs in KY. Do you foresee Trinity running the table this post season? In my opinion, there have been other years with less tallent and he has pulled it off!

Both the X vs. Male and the Trinity vs. Manual games will be hard hitting, good coaching and very competitive. Turnovers, penalties and mistakes will make the difference in both games. ( I know everyone knows this . . .) Its all up to execution. The better team will win each of these two games. I think X is on the rebound after "struggling" with injuries and coaching issues. Momentum is gaining in the X court. Question is will X come out and play from the start? If Male jumps out early. . . going to be real tough for X to come back. X can, but that is when that turnover kills your momentum . . . I think X will prevail in a barn burner!!!! Manual is a very hot team, play calling and execution will be the maker or breaker for Manual. If Manual scores 21 in first half, I'd say its over. However, the Rocks will not roll over and die. Trinity really needs to play a complete game of passing, running, defense and pass defense. . . I'm not sure they are up to Manual's best on offense. Manual in a squeaker . . .

I will take 26 - 0 in any playoff game. Win and move on. It seems that resting the running backs was a primary goal in this round one game. Good experience for the 2nd string RB's. The focus now is on Male . . . .

Manual is a hot team!!! Trinity is not playing their best right now. Although it is playoffs, one would consider Trinity as the favorite. Manual scores early and often. Trinity fights hard to get back in it and take the lead. Manual scores on final possion to win. Manual 35 - 28.

I see a very close game. X might be up 7 at the half, go on to lead by 14 in third quarter. Male will have an effective come back, but it wont be enough. Tigers 31 - 26. I'm ready for this one. Should be a great game. The best team will win this game, regardless of who you choose to cheer for. . . .

Track Record says that the safest bet is to go with the statistical numbers over a long period of time . . . While each year and team are mutually exclusive, someone still has to beat Trinity. Until this has been accomplished, everyone else is playing for 2nd place.....

I see this Trinity team just as any other Trinity team the last 12 years . . . Playoff time is a little different than regular season. To eliminate the defending champs will take a huge effort. It would not surprise me one bit that Trinity ends up winning it all again!!!!! Beaty will work his magic and the rest of the contenders will wonder what happened . . . Go Tigers

From previous discussions over the last 10 seasons when this gets discussed, the KHSAA supports this playoff structure to allow more "student athletes" the "experience" of playing playoff football. They claim it builds character and is beneficial for the development of the whole student. My take is that nothing good can result from a 45+ playoff loss on the road. Adding insult to injury, 0 - 10 is bad enough, 0 - 11 is . . . . Hopefully all teams traveling to games this weekend have a safe return home.

Wow. Impressive Win! Now the real questions is Has St. X turned the page onto a new season dedicated to playing the ball they are capable of? Not sure just yet. Need a strong and consistent outing vs. Fern Creek and one might be able to answer that question. Didn't see the game but the score says a lot!!! Keep marching one game at a time...!
