  1. Tigers will win this one going away. 32+ points. Probably won't get to 50's in scoring but that would be a nice accomplishment on the road. X running attack will be featured in this game. While they have a lot to prove in this early season, proclaiming the "X RB trio greatest ever assembled" a little smoke and mirrors from our weed friends. But I do like the enthusiasm!!!
  2. T may be a giant, however I don't think they were sleeping or have been sleeping for the last 11 years.....
  3. Looking forward to the BG - X game at X on Sept. 6. Can you say intense barn burner!!!!! If X improves from week 1 to 2 and from 2 to 3.... Should be a great competitive game. If X plays like they did Friday, then BG streak will be alive....
  4. quick observations from Fridays game. 1. X QB foot speed looked slow. 2. X DB's looked like sophmores . . . 3. X running backs are for real. 4. X O line needs to be quicker. 5. X special teams will cost several W's this year if vast improvement is not shone... Its good that is game 1. Hope not to be saying the same thing after week 8.....!
  5. Looks as if a lot of the T faithful are preaching the "Moral Victory" card in the wake of the 27-26 loss to the hands of Ensworth. T will improve and bounce back thats for sure but lets just call it like it is without all the sugar..... Trinity got beat at home in a thriller. 0 - 1 and on to next week! IMO a great start to the HS football season.
  6. 7 - Simon K 5 - Central 3 - Eastern 2 - Elizabethtown 1 - Thomas Nelson TB - Central TB - 8/20 @ 1:30 PM
  7. Anybody can beat anybody.... Recall Holy Cross over Trinity to break the streak .... Dixie Heights over Trinity in playoffs..... It can and will happen!!!!
  8. Let's save the hot air and revist this at the end of the season..... Really makes no difference, Coaches have to coach, players have to play... Time will tell....
  9. I did not see the scrimmage but by all accounts it sounds as if the SK team has improved.... Or it could be that the passing game of X has a lot of work to do.... Turnovers can neutralize a team, get you beat and lose a game for you very easily. I would say the SK team is better than years past. X had better keep the ground game on tap as it will end up being the bread and butter of this team with the special players it has this year.....
  10. I expect a good game against the Bruins. Close game at the half, only to see X open it up in the second half. And I mean open the running game. . . X 35 - Ballard 10
  11. ^ I find it amaizing that the T folks are the only ones proclaiming St. X's new staff as "greatest coaching staff in the history of high school football". It truly makes one wonder what these guys are smoking.....:lol2:
  12. What you are seeing is the Trinity folks talk up hot smoke spin on St. X. You don't see St. X fans makeing outrageous claims....
  13. Warning: Warning: It has been reported that TheGuru has been drinking the Trinity bandwagon koolaid. . . Trinity is defending champ, make that three time defending champ!!! NO one has beaten them in December since 2009. Like all good programs, Trinity RELOADS each year. This is a testament to their staff and program. St. X has a new coach and a new offense. Proportedly has some new weapons to go with returning weapons. Lots of unknowns. . . Trinity is No. 1 till someone beats them in November/ December. Nothing else can be stated that is not as clear as the above! No way St. X is preseason No. 1. If BGP is making a preseason ranking, better not sip too much Shamrock koolaid... Is it time for kick off yet??
  14. In this day and age of steroids and performance enhancing drugs, shouldn't all high schools abide by this principle? Let's hope that all school administrators and coaches abide by these rules and not send the wrong message of letting players play who have violated such policy.
  15. With the recent developments, I would say that the Tigers will win 12 games this year. Question is how many defeats will the Tigers take? 1, 2 or 3 . . .
  16. Lets just hope that the Neagle injury does not last long?
  17. ^ Don't cut yourself short there.... 6A mid major.... That is funny.... While not having followed SK football as a fan, I know that the program is on the rise. Playoff experience has become a part of the SK program. While having never been to the top of the hill, one has to knock on the door on a consistent basis, to get to the top. SK is in that position I believe. So your reference to "6A Mid Major" is a little short of the true position of the SK program. Good Luck this season and hope to run into the Pioneers in November/ December this post season.
  18. Absolutely not! It is a scrimmage, not a playoff game. When the dust settles I would be surprized if X is a head less than 4 TD's, thats all. Sure, SK can step up and battle and might possible win, just don't see that happening. I would anticipate that SK will use this scrimmage as a tune up for the real season opener, they will learn alot about their team. St. X will learn alot about their team as well. Good preseason scrimmage for both teams.
  19. Any new comers that have not been discussed or identified, which could be game changers for the Tigers, Off and Def....?
  20. I would imagine that X will be ready to play against Simon Kenton, even though it is just a scrimmage. I think X will be anxious to show what they have been working on and "some" of the plays and options that the new offense brings to the table. Anticipate X showing limited exposure to the "core" offense. By this I mean their may be several plays, passing or running that X feels that nobody can stop. May run these plays only once at SK.... Yes the Tigers want to win and they will by 4 TD's . . .
  21. Exactly!!! Trinity is the team to beat and will be until someone beats them in the Playoffs. All his hype about St. X is just a bunch of hot air in August!!!! Tigers have to get the job done on the field in November/December for them to be ranked No. 1. Yes the Tigers may have some weapons, but many a team has been beaten by wish I, would A, should A.... Tigers must prove themselves!!!! I can't wait to see them start doing this.... Go Tigers!!!!
  22. When to schedule the bye week? Any week that no Kentucky teams or Out of State teams will play you!!!! :sssh:
  23. Trinity is the team to beat in November no question. No one has been able to beat them in Nov/Dec for the last three years. Until someone can step up and beat the Rocks, the Rocks are King!!! I don't have any reason to think that Trinity is "down" this year. They have plenty of talent and more importantly, excellent coaching. Trinity will continue to do what Trinity does, Out Coach Opponents, Out Scout opponents, Out prepare Opponents and Out play Opponents. There you go! The real season starts in November!!!! Let's see who can make it to Nov with a chance...
