Pretty impressive banner a lot of regional championships and state championship including 4 big state championships if only highlands had that in baseball don't be jealous Rcc9 you have football banners like that. I guess it's hard for me to see a offensive guy launch himself into a defender like a missile throw up a out of control shot and you call a foul on the defender the rule needs to change. Heck all coaches should teach their players to do this at a young age get the call every time.

It was a horrible call and change the game for pangallo. That was his 3rd foul had to sit for 5mins in the third Q change the the game IMO.

Big guy is posting up goes up for a shot the defender goes up for the block straight up the offensive guy jumps into him with his shoulder I've seen it called plenty of times a offensive foul. How is that different from what happen today.

Ok you are telling me if a big guy is posting up and goes up for a shot and the defender jumps straight up and the offense of guy jumps 3feet into him with his shoulder it's a foul on the defender come Clyde you are smarter then that. It's a offensive foul I have seen it called a lot with big guys no different what happen today to pangallo instead it was a foul on defender horrible call IMO

Then the rule needs to change. Worst call I have ever seen. Pangallo jump straight up not to him. That call change the game gave pangallo his 3rd foul had to sit just before that pangallo hit a three and a jumper was starting to feel it. Bad call just my opinion. No reason to be upset I think Mitch is a hell of a pitcher and will be the best pitcher in the 9th region and in the state my opinion I rather see a kid in game situation then at a showcase with 100 kids being there also goes the same with Zach just my opinion. Remember Zach is a exceptional basketball player to just don't play one sport maybe that hurts him in some aspect of this list.

You must know your baseball then sorry boys you must not be in Raiderbird's scouting report I guess you got to play for Midland to be on this list.

Newcath Jr Zach Pangallo 2 sport athlete is one of the best hitter in the state throws R bats L kid is a stud. Seeing Walters preview in basketball thread it looks like he can go play college in any sport. Another name in the 9th region is Highlands pitcher Mitchell Jones will be one of the top pitchers in the state.

Newcath has played a tougher schedule that's why they have 3 losses. 3 top ten teams in state and all 3 they were winning by more then ten points. I still think Newcath is #1 that game last Friday doesn't prove nothing until they both play again on a floor that wasn't so bad as Covcath was. IMO

So how was NewCath's open gym tonight saw your post said you were heading up tonight to watch.

Its my opinion Walter. I think everyone has their own including you. If you don't think their not just ask two former Holmes players they will tell you I heard the Johnson brothers were at their open gyms and 3 other D 1 players were playing against them and Newcath were very impressive and also heard that was without the Pangallo boy but I could be wrong on that one though. They will be hands down #1 in region cause of their coach. Mark it down and you should go up on the hill and watch one of their open gyms and see for yourself and you make the call its in Newport not Covington and while You are at it swing by Ft Thomas and take in some HHS basketball and tell what you think. Just my opinion

If I was teams I would be afraid. NewCath is loaded this year been hearing a lot of stuff about their team this year hands down #1 team in region and top 5 in the state they have everything including a bench and a coach that is in my eyes one of the best in kentucky highschool history in Ron Dawn. The more they play this summer the more they get even better and better. I heard Drew Mcdonald and Jake Schulte have been men in open gyms and that the Pangallo boy has been nasty that people can't guard him and ge just got done with baseball which he was one of the best hitters in the state what a athlete he is. Also heard McDonald is lighting it up from the outside and Schulte is dunking everything add in the Weyer boy with his 6'5 frame and he can shoot the 3 real good and the Moaves's studs. IMO That said I like what I see out of the Highlands Program in basketball also great to see kids more into basketball at Highlands.

I heard NewCath was very impressive down at Transy and also heard their open gyms have been intense with Division 1 college players going up on the hill and playing against them. NewCath will be loaded this season coming up and Coach Dawn will have them ready to play.

So what you are saying is that Ryle whole team should of been on the D1 list. Just give the kids who made it credit and Ryle had a great year. No reason to go back and forth on this. And by the way I think there were 7 Pangallo's that played this year for 4 different teams NewCath, Holy Cross, Covcath, and Bellevue if it was a popularity thing then all of them should of made it. The Beechwood kids that you mention deserve to be on that list no Q ask they were 1 out away from going to finals in region luck just wasn't on their side they had a great year. Just my IMO and I'm 100% on mine to.

You may be right about Fogel but have you seen that kid play he is a stud and is one of the best hitter in the 9th. This is not a team awards its individual awards and all this kids who are on this list are great baseball players. Ifs its about names in the beginning of the season you have 2 freshmen and 1 soph on this list who had no varsity experience and the Pangallo boy was one of the best hitters in the 9th and was well deserving of top pick for soph All Star state team. Combs and Stringer had awesome years also for their age. Congrats to All of these kids who were on this list. And Good Luck to Ryle at State this week.
