I agree with you Get Some. Newcath,CovCath, and Cooper could of beat PRP. No one gives the 9th any credit one of the hardest region to get out of besides the 7th region but not to far behind them. Holmes had to beat 2 top 20 teams in state just to get to Rupp. NewCath and Covcath.

Highschool is way different then Gradeschool select baseball. IMO

1- Holmes or Newcath 3- Covcath 4- Dixie My Top 4 Heard from a Newcath Parent that they were invited to play in the King of the Bluegrass and Lexington Catholic Tourney next season.

V Come Walter I'm not a fan of either team and my team got beat in District. But the refs lost this game for Cooper I know you are a big Holmes supporter but if it was the other way around you are the worst cryer on here. You cried all year about the 10 region Refs on your thread. Holmes had a 6th man today and it was the refs. PERIOD

There is more to the game than shooting also. Beal played great D also. Bolden is not on the same level as Beal when it comes to Defense. So the all around better player is Beal. IMO

Q for you Lawnboy? if its just a mid season tourney why are they getting rings that say State Champs. Ashland Tourney they won this year was a mid season tourney are they getting rings for that also. And also when they have the ring ceremony will you be present there and tell the kids and coaches congrats but this really wasn't a State Championship it was a mid season tourney don't count.

This is a tough call to make he is a 17 year soph no Q he will be considered one of the best in Holmes history. Right now I give it to Beal but Bolden is not far behind.

Never said it was a true State Championship it's a State Championship for small schools. So is football a true state championship in 1A, 2A,3A,4A,5A,6A. Come on have you watch the playoffs in football in Highschool first 2 to 3 games in playoffs are blowouts. Yes it's awesome to win a state championship in football but it is way easier to do so. Ask Beechwood NewCath Highlands. Winning the All A state in Basketball is way harder then winning a 2A state football. IMO

It is a state title for small schools that consists of 1A, 2A, 3A schools. Just ask the Chairman of the tourney and we all know who started the All A Classic State Tournament. Great job by those young men and coaches up on the hill keep on reaching those goals. Want to ask LawnBoy a Q what do you think the All A Classic is since you are a NewCath fan is it a State Championship. Would love to know your input on it.

I get your point you do whatever it takes to win. So the Holmes and Cooper game this weekend. We all know Cooper plays great D and say they are up 2 with 7 mins to go in 2 Q and they have the ball and stall it for 7 mins and they do the same thing in second half and Holmes ends up winning 24 to 23 you will be happy with that. That to me is boring Basketball that was played in the 1960's and believe that's close of when I was born. I just think a shot clock would be more fun to watch the game then someone holding the ball and dribbling around for 4 to 5 mins. IMO

I got a Q for you? Who did NewCath beat in football this past year that was any good. From my understanding they didn't. Until you play teams like Highlands up here I wouldn't be talking about your little 2 A State Championship that the football team has won. Now when you play Highlands and Beat them then you can say whatever you want.

Well then NewCath football should give their rings they won in 2012 to the Shamrocks then. They were the best football team in Kentucky and would beat NewCath by 100 last year.

Your kid must of played basketball at NewCath under these coaches or you have a great insider that tells you all this stuff. 30 and 3 this year won the All A state. They lost to Holmes who is pretty good and they didn't play good at all an lost by 5. I think they will be even better next year then they were this year. If you had a bad experience at NewCath that's fine we understand just come out and say it.

The basketball team did win a state All A and are getting rings just like the football team. That's right you don't follow NewCath basketball you just ripp on the players and coaches.

I don't disagree with you Bolden will get his points he is that good. The less be has the ball in his hands the better off you are. Pangallo is quick enough to contain him not stoping him. In the first game against between Holmes and NewCath in OT Pangallo was denying the ball from Bolden and it work that's why Newcath won that game and also it got Bolden a little tired which he should of been cause he was the only one that did anything in that 4 th Q. Now this is just my opinion not saying it would of worked. NewCath had a Great Season. Holmes was just a little better then them the other night. I wish Holmes Good Luck hopefully they win the region and do some demand down state.

IMO. Pangallo should of guarded Bolden the whole game and kept the ball out of his hands. He is a very good defender and is quick enough to hang with Bolden. When he was on him Bolden didn't score I don't think. Walter can confirm this since he was video taping it. Bolden is to quick for Seibert.

Don't worry Walter if somehow Cooper upsets Holmes he will become a Cooper fan. Someone needs his Daycare nap in or bottle.

Not Saying NewCath wouldn't of done it if they were up 6 with 3 mins to go. What I'm saying they did it in the first half. Like or not Holmes played stall ball in that half so NewCath couldn't build a bigger margin going into half. It does make the game boring sometimes and you wouldn't inspect that from a Holmes team.

Walter Holmes did play stall ball in first half. IMO they did it cause they didn't want NewCath to jump out to a big lead. It was kinda of boring and High School does need to have a shot clock. They held the ball for 3 min first time I ever saw Holmes do that. I guess it showed that NewCath is a pretty good team that they needed to do that. Thought it was a good move for Holmes Coach. IMO

Surely you are kidding. If you look at all sports, track, football, cross country, swimming, golf, ALL sports no school comes close. Someone must of just got out of Daycare and made a post.
