James Bolden or Dickie Beal???

Featured Replies

2 of the quickest players I have seen in the 9th. Mr Beal and Mr Bolden. If you have to choose one to lead your team who do you pick. I think their games are familiar.

I'll take Dickie any day of the week.

I'm surprised you remember Mr Beal.

Great grandfather told me about him.

Was Mr Beals shot as good as Mr Boldens?

Cannot go wrong with either, but I'll take Richard.

I'd give Bolden a couple more years before you make comparisons to Mr. Beal. Great young player though.

I think we'll see Bolden have a better overall game by time he finishes in two years.

He shoots better than Dickie did. His handle is as good. He only lacks Dickie's explosiveness.

There was a guard tandem years ago at Holmes that was very good also, Dwayne "Tilt" Morris and Michael Moore.

I'll agree with that. Thought Dickie was a pretty good defender.

Did Doug Schlomer play with Dickie Beal or different times?

Id say Bolden is the quickest guy since Dickie Beal, but he's a long way from matching Beal's resume.

I think it's too early...Bolden is just a sophomore. Start this thread in two years and we'd have a better idea.

I do think Bolden has the opportunity to be the highest recruited player out of nky in a VERY LONG time, however. I'd say he enters next season with some offers and could get one as soon as next week if Holmes wins region and wins a game or two at Rupp.

Doug Shlomer played after Dickie Beal.

I'd have to go with Bolden, I think he is much quicker than Dickie Beal. Dickie has put on a few pounds over the years and I'm thinking he either has his AARP card or is very close to qualifying for it.
