  1. So if you have no interest in going to see NKU play why make a comment about their attendance? Why do you care? NKU has come a long way. The program is moving in the right direction. Do you have some grudge against NKU?
  2. Walter - I like your list however you have to have Matt Rose listed. He is tearing it up this year.
  3. The award should have no bearing on where you attend college. If that was the case let's end the discussion and give it to Spaulding. It doesn't get any bigger than Louisville. Weren't you the one earlier that said H. Tyler should be considered? I personal don't disagree, however he is attending NKU!!
  4. You read my mind. I could be talked into trading Bolden and Beverly, however I really like Team 1. Rose, McDonald and Spaulding are all capable of adjusting their games and bringing value in ways other than scoring. This team's ability to share the ball and pass would be fun to watch. Each could play a different role each game. My only concern is would they be too unselfish?
  5. So, let me make sure I understand. McDonald - NKU Tyler - NKU Rose - Samford Sutton - UNC Ashville Perry - ? - Maryland Eastern and University of Tampa (D2) Bolden - West Virgina Justice - Vandy Spaulding - Louisville Holman - reclassify to 2016 So this is a 3/4 man race based on College attending? Ridiculous.
  6. FeelingGood. I am assuming your concern is the fact 4 players played extensive minutes. I'm sure the coaching staff would love to give them more rest, however I'm not sure Doss was the right game. One of the Andersons was hurt. If healthy, he would have logged minutes bringing the total to 8 players. Fact is NCC is a small school and just does not have the luxury to bring a second PG or Big off the bench without dropping in productivity. I'm sure the coaches are working with the younger players in PRACTICE and when/if ready will see the varsity floor. Pangallo was in foul trouble and he needs to stay on the floor. Not many better PGs, so I'm stating the obvious. Even with Pangallo out, this team only lost by 3. This applies to most teams. If Holmes loses Bolden are they as good? Spaulding for Trinity? Just curious, how many players would have to see the floor to eliminate your depth concerns?
  7. If you are ignorant to McDonalds game, how are you arguing.
  8. Mr Tiger Can we agree they are both contenders? IMO both are capable of very nice stat lines and do way more than stats show. Again, IMO, Ray is the favorite to win, however there are several that should be considered. I know you want everyone to tell you how great Ray is and most are doing that. Just because people point out parts of his game that need work doesn't mean he is not a tremendous player. Ray has more potential than anyone in the state. Personally I would score the following: Shooting - McDonald Defense - Spaulding (Best in the State IMO) Court Vision - McDonald - not sure it's as. Lose as you think. Push the court - Push - both have the ability to grab a rebound and lead a break or outlet it to start the break. Motor - McDonald Potential - Spaulding and it's not close Great Teammates - Push These are my opinions and I look forward to you telling me I'm wrong. IMO opinion McDonald just gets it done night in and night out.
  9. Spalding is going to UL because his wing span is 7'0" plus. It's called potential. As many have stated his desire and motor are question marks. He has the potential to play in the NBA IF Pitino can get him to play hard. McDonald is solid. Similar to Spalding his stat line will not compare to others because they play on great teams with other great players. I expect McDonald to contribute to NKU as a freshman. Could he have gone bigger? I think most would agree yes, however maybe NKU was the best fit for him. From my understanding McDonald did more than hold his own against Spalding last year and in the summer. Any one have stats from the Travelers?
  10. SHALL - Please stop. You are making yourself appear like you have no knowledge of the game. Ben is an incredible player. Very bright future for sure. NCC is successful because the play as a team. They check their egos and comments at the door. It's not about one player. It's about the team. I will defend Drew because you called him out. Drew was double teamed the entire night. He was guarded by their top post player. He will see this every game. Again, this has nothing to do with Weyers game. He is a tremendous player and you are right he probably could get more recognition if he played on a team that didn't have multiple seniors ahead of him. I am not going to say who I think deserved MVP, however Drew battled last night. He had 20 points and who know how many rebounds and assists. Yes there is more to the game than points. GREAT JOB DREW!! Please readers understand Weyer played awesome and is an extremely important piece to the NCC machine. I love Weyer.
  11. Fact is many kids you mentioned are not going to be 6'7" (Wurtz is). The old saying is you can't teach size. Why would you not try to develop a 6'7" Soohomore at the JV level? Wurtz did come into the varsity game and grabbed 2 quick rebounds. Wurtz has some nice low posts moves. Needs to add strength and aggressiveness.
  12. Very Good! Dixie's enrollment is 1400. NCC is roughly 360. Assuming half are boys, i I would think finding 5 out of 700 would be much easy than 180.
  13. Not living up to expectations the last 2 seasons? IF NCC didn't live up to expectations, what about Dixie? With the number of boys at Dixie (Compared to NCC) did Dixie live up to expectations or are their standards just lower?
  14. So Danny Boy - give us your run down on why NCC is not a top team. A very good Mason team jump out early and NCC did not lose their composure. NCC has a lot of weapons. BIGS that can post up or step out and hit the 3. Vetern point guard that had few turnover and shoot 100% from FT line. They had 3 guys score 20+ points. IMO opinion the best guard/big combo in the state. I don't see any team that can match NCC top 3 players. They don't have many weaknesses. I agree Trinity is #1 however they are not that much better than a handful of teams. Look at Ballard last year. Looking forward to your response. At the very least it should be entertaining.
  15. Wow. How does McDonald not make it? She was clearly their go to player.
  16. Great Team win for NCC. Almost every girl stepped up their game and beat a very good Cooper team. I do agree McDonald was the best player on the court and was told Xavier's Head Coach was there to witness. Her all around game and volleyball IQ are off the charts. I would love to know how many kills she had tonight. NCC was definitely hitting on all cyclinders. Ruwe and McDonald were digging everything. Lohr was rolling the ball over defenders all night. Lankheit had a ton of blocks and Freppon's sets were on spot most of the night. I also thought Brannon played a nice front row getting several kills at crucial times. Great Volleyball Atmosphere and NCC should have motivation going into the final stretch of the season. This team has come a long way since the first game of the season.
