I believe LB referref to them as STATE Champs. and the winner is the All "A" Classic State Tournament Champ.

I would love for Lawn Boy to weigh in. Personally I would be very disappointed if LB felt it was a "nice tournament", given his support of NCC. Lawn Boy? Guru - if you want I can let you know when the STATE Championship ring ceremony will be held to passout the STATE Championship rings to NCC for the small school STATE tile.

They get a trophy/ring that says NIT Champs. Just like NCC is the All A STATE Champs! Jealousy is not a good trait.

Winning the all A basketball state is much harder to do than winning one of the 6 football classifications. As far as your assessment about the game, you are way off. Zack has been a solid point gaurd this year and his performance against Holmes was no different. Zack is one of the best PT guards in all NKY and I glad he is a Thoroughbred!

Everyone RELAX. NCC is fine. They beat Ryle, period. They are still the same team that is 26-2. Was last night their best showing, no. Big deal. They have all the pieces needed to win the region. 1) Senior leadership 2) Team chemistry and defense 3) Inside out approach 4) Great inside presence with Schulte and McDonald. McDonald was unstoppable last night. 5) Great point guard in Pangallo. I bet he only missed 2 shots all night last night and his assist to turnover ratio had to be favorable. 6) Battle tested schedule 7) Productive Bench - there is more to basketball tan scoring. 8) Great free throw shooting team NCC is fine. Defense is fine. Bench play is fine. All is fine. There is no team better positioned going into post season play. Don't start trouble where there is none. If the Breds players read this board, keep doing what you are doing and I can't wait for the districts and Regional.

I agree. Just like I don't think Pangallo get the credit he deserves. On almost any other team Pangallo has a better point average than he does on NCC. NCC needs his other skills to be successful.

Walter not sure you read my comment correctly concerning Bolden vs. Justice. What I said was, " Bolden is a stud, however not quite at the level of Cameron Justice." I don't think I implied it wasn't close. IMO, Justice (today) is the better player. Before you get upset, Bolden is extremely good (stud).

Here is a question. If Holmes played NCC schedule,what do you THINK their record would be? I say they would have 2 loses (Trinity and Knott Co), maybe 3. No way (IMO) Holmes comes close to beating Trinity. Thoughts?

Man, after reading all this, Coach Brannen should cancel the game and see if he can get autographs from the Holmes players. Sounds like NCC has no chance! Brossart, Knott Co, and Bardstown must not be very good to get beat by NCC. Bolden is a stud, however not quite at the level of Cameron Justice. NCC did a nice job limiting Justice clean looks at the basket and feel they can do the same to Bolden. NCC does not have to shut down Bolden. They need to CONTINUE to play team defense and they will be fine. Like others have stated, Holmes deserves to be number one. My concern is their strength of schedule. Are they battle tested? I have watched them several times (most recent at Boone) and I'm not sure Holmes has seen a defense like NCC. Holmes did a nice job crashing the offensive boards, however I am of the belief it will not be that easy against NCC's length. Holmes needs to shoot well to win this.
