We adults need to be careful what we say about these young men. Clyde, you care to share your high school resume so we can judge? So we can tell you you never lived up to your potential? You can have your opinion on his skills, however lets leave out the childish comment like "pouting and not hustling". I am 100% sure you were not at all the NCC practices and have no idea of the details of the situation. Jason can be a solid basketball player and will. Why don't we spread more positives so when young Mr Covington reads this blog he starts to restore his confidence. I wish Mr. Covington all the best and wish he was still wearing that NCC jersey.

Good teams play team defense. Seibert might get the call to guard Bolden, however there will be four others helping out. This is true whether its Bolden or anyone else with the ball. Lately, NCC has been playing awesome TEAM defense.

I don't agree. I think Schulte is very much appreciated and a player opposing coaches put in their game plan to stop. Jake's ability to alter shots and rebound at both ends of the court has been awesome. Personally I believe Pangallo and Siebert don't give enough credit. Pangallo's ability to handle the ball against the pressure he has faced this year is just as important than scoring. His play has given Bueter the ability to get in better scoring positions to help the team. Lately Pangallo has been much more aggressive on the offensive end and it makes NCC even harder to guard. Seibert's defense in the All A was incredible. Nothing that shows up in the stats or paper however I'm sure his team knows and preciates his role. IMO NCC is really playing team ball and they don't win the state if everyone doesn't step up like they did this weekend. Go Breds!!

Are you serious? What was NCC suppose to do? The JV guys played the entire second half. Did you expect Brannen to tell his team to stop taking shots for 3 quarters? HHS starters couldn't score on NCC's JV team. Only one starter scored!!! The guys on the JV team had an opportunity to show their coaches what they were capable of doing. At the end of the game, NCC stopped shooting there's. This could have been a lot worse.

So now it's made it very difficult. Making it difficult and shutting down are two different things in my book. What Trinity's bigs did well was position themselves for the offensive rebound. They have the luxury of having Hicks and his offensive game. They were not one of their main options to score. NCC's bigs needed to help on Hicks making boxing out more difficult. McDonald and Schulte are weapons on offense and defense. I for one thought both did an outstanding job banging with Trinity's bigs.

Clyde - again your comments are 100% false. Trinity shut down McDonald/Schulte? I believe they led their team in scoring that game. I don't think you understand how good Trinity is. I said it before. NCC played well enough that game to beat any 9th region team. I'm starting to think your goal is to just stir up controversity and you have no care or intelligence about the game.

NCC did not get blown out. NCC played well enough to beat any 9th region team last night.

What does the JV score have to do with anything. NCC lost to a top 3 team. It was a 3 point game in the 4th quarter. Why dont you count the FROSH score (40).

Dont forget about current Frosh Ben Weyer for NCC. He is getting valuable varsity minutes this year.

Walter - I appreciate all the information you bring to bgp! Another Soph PG in the running is Zack Pangallo from NCC. IMO he has done a great job running the offense with few turnovers and a ton of assists. He knows who and where the ball needs to go. The last couple games he has been more aggressive offensively and NCC last coupe wins have been impressive. With him and McDonald does that mean NCC has the best Soph class? I know Dixie is strong as well.

Have you seen NCC play this year? You said in an earlier post you have not actually seen Holmes play? What do you base you opinions on?

I agree. That is why I said McDonald was the PRIMARY one guarding Campbell. NCC's bigs did a great job making Campbell catch the ball away from the basket and not on the block where he is most effective. I actually didn't think NCC played a great first half offensively, however made up for that with a great 3rd quarter.

This article got it wrong. Drew McDonald was the primary defender of Campbell and he did an outstanding job. This NCC team is fun to watch. McDonald and Schulte are a tough combo to stop. Not a better big man combination in NKY. Pangallo did a great job running the offense and had very few turn overs. Seibert is streaking and looked good in the 3rd. Team effort by the Breds. Campbell is a very nice player however seemed very frustrated tonight.
