I will say this though...they are by far the deepest team with quality guards and James Bolden is arguably the best pg in the region as a soph. Averaging 19, 5, and 5 a game.

Arguably is a fair word. Nick R is 21.4/3/4.5 against a slightly better schedule .

 

That schedule is why CCH is #1 . There is no intangible in a ranking like DC's. Some would say Conner is better than their record because of Barker missing games. DC doesn't take that into account.

I realize Bolden is averaging 19 and Ruthsatz is at 21.4. Any idea on their shooting percentages? FT percentages?

The top four in this ranking are clearly the top four and I don't see that changing. Five through ten will ikely be musical chairs as they play each other and get their share of wins and losses. Is there a team in the 5-10 group that could break into the top 4 and even win the region? I imagine many people will say Holy Cross and they will get a chance to prove themselves tonight and tomorrow night versus Holmes and then Boone County. I don't see anyone dislodging the top 4 and expect one of those 4 to be region champ.

Enquirer stats show Nick R as shooting 46% overall and 46% from 3 with over half of his attempts being 3s. Shooting 75% from the line. Also getting 3 steals per game.

 

Holmes does not report stats to the Enquirer.

Barker's first game back was Dixie, right? If correct they have won 4 of 5 with him with the loss a blowout to CCH. Although the only game Conner may have lost without Barker is Dixie. I agree that the top 3 are solid. I think there is a bigger gap between 3 and 4. 4, 5, and 6 are the next group. I think that Conner may just wedge their way into that 4,5,6 group.

Walter - I appreciate all the information you bring to bgp!

 

Another Soph PG in the running is Zack Pangallo from NCC. IMO he has done a great job running the offense with few turnovers and a ton of assists. He knows who and where the ball needs to go. The last couple games he has been more aggressive offensively and NCC last coupe wins have been impressive.

 

With him and McDonald does that mean NCC has the best Soph class?

 

I know Dixie is strong as well.
