This was a crazy week, Highlands beat Conner then Conner beat Nd and Boone. So it's pretty much what I figured it would be. Do agree that WV should be 6 though.

The issue comes in that many people don't realize if their is a large hole there the pitchers foot is allowed to break contact with the ground going over the hole.

I think everyone on this forum understands the difference between skill levels in high school. Those parents would have their daughter in a mask if it warranted it. The problem is many parents have no clue how hard of some of these girls crush the ball and just send their kids out there with no protection at all. The KHSAA should make in mandatory, if it saves 1 girl then it's worth it.

My fear at the high school level is the age and talent gaps. You have girls who have D1 power playing against girls who play just to have fun and be with friends.

The Lady Birds win a rain shortened game. Game was called after 6.5 innings due to rain. Conner added 1 in the bottom of the 6th but I believe the score reverts back to the last complete inning.

Let me start by saying in no way what I am saying is intended to be seen as an insult at all. This a huge reason why Shelby has never played another high school sport. Between fall tournaments and college camps she would have had to miss a lot of games/practices. Not only does it rob the team it could potentially rob another young lady from a spot on the team and playing time. In my opinion it sends the wrong message if the player that misses get to play when she is there.

When is it?

Beating Conner and Ryle in the same week is very impressive. Definitely have them as the number 2 team in the region. Notre Dame is my #1 until beaten.
