  1. For the 9th 1. Notre Dame 2. Conner 3. Ryle/Boone 4. Highlands/NCC/Dixie Team I am most interested in seeing is St. Henry. Losing a team leader like Butts especially when she is your starting pitcher is not easy to overcome.
  2. I have to check out the local food places in case she picks that school!!
  3. Signed up for Ohio St. Planning on going to Purdue,Louisville and one other.
  4. One of the young ladies on Chads summer team he coaches verbally committed to play at Ohio St. Here is the link to the article about her. Scroll down a bit and you will see the recruit profile for Megan. Daily Update 11.18.13 | Student Sports Softball
  5. I am to pretty to let a ball from Maddy or Shelby ruin the moneymaker!!!
  6. Evan Spencer: "I guess I'm a little bit biased. But I think we'd wipe the field with both of them, but that's just my bias speaking." He laughed. From Bill Rabinowitz, beat writer for the Columbus Dispatch Edit: Here is the full interview: Reporter: Did you watch any football this weekend? Spencer: "Oh, yeah. I got to. I got to sit on my couch and just watch other college teams and then, yesterday, watched all the pro teams. It's a good, relaxing few days." Reporter: Obviously, you watched Alabama and LSU. Your thoughts on that. Spencer: "I mean, both teams are really good. LSU seemed to have some momentum at the beginning in being able to move the ball up and down the field. But Alabama, they're one of the best technical teams in the country. So they kinda broke them down a little bit. But I saw holes in both teams and strengths in both teams." Reporter: Does it happen when you're watching a game, envision how Ohio State would play against Alabama or what you might do against them? Spencer: "Oh, yeah. Really since like midway through high school, every time I watch somebody else play, I always think about what I could have done there or what we would have done there as an offense or what we would have done there as a defense or what have you. It's good to look at other competition and kind of mentally play a game while you're sitting on the couch." Reporter: So you did watch the Alabama game, and the Oklahoma-Baylor game and Stanford-Oregon. How do you think you guys would do against those teams. Spencer: "I guess I'm a little biased, but I think we'd, uh, we'd wipe the field with both of them. But that's just my bias speaking." (laughs) Reporter: That's Alabama and who's the other team? Spencer: "Whoever. Whoever." Reporter: How much do you follow this, rooting for Stanford or rooting for an LSU? Spencer: "I was the biggest Cardinal fan for 3 hours because we needed a little bit of help but at the same time we still have to take care of our business. We have to go out there and show them that we're one of the best offenses in the country, one of the best defenses in the country, and one of the best kicking games in the country. We know we have to go out there and take care of business that we have to handle, but we also know we need a little bit of help as well." (Source AP) There is the full interview. I am shocked that the media cherry picked comments from this.....
  7. We went 1-2 with 1 run losses to Georgia Outlaws and Georgia Impact. Beat the Indy Dreams 5-4.
  8. Did she sub with Sluggers Ridolfi in Franklin this fall?
  9. I knew said Gallatin parent was excited when they used CAPS when he responded to my text! Congrats to a great player and her family!!
  10. Wow I get to about 15 and am done. That is pretty impressive.
  11. How is her team looking now that she is on campus?
  12. The best thing to come out of this showcase was the girls got time on the field together. Let me start by saying we went 4-0-1 and outscored our opponents by a score of 46-5. So no sour grapes about losing any games. No new balls were added to the fields in two days. Our pitchers actually stopped the game multiple time to ask for a ball that wasn't lopsided. I saw very few college coaches. I believe the entrance fee was 500+ with a gate fee for two days of 14 dollars. I wish they had made more of an effort to match up teams talent wise.
  13. Start our first showcase tomorrow so will reoprt in how it goes as I can
  14. I want to watch your head spin off at the umpires at the Top 50. Shelby had played there three times and the umpires are horrible. If you coach third Shelby will be instructed to " accidentally" take you out on any foul ball near you!!!
  15. Sluggers 16u Nashville Tournament of Champions Went 5-1-1 to win the 18 division Oct 11-13 Top 50 Showcase, Its at the Midwest Sports Complex in Indianapolis which I hate with a passion. Worst place for umps I have ever seen. Bunch of crappy high school umps who can't keep up with the speed of high level travel ball. Oct 25-27 St. Louis showcase. Heard there are about 200+ college coaches there. Might have to play at 8 am on a friday. Nov 1-3 Scenic City Showcase in Chattanooga. Don't know much but its put on by the Tenn. Fury so I figure it will be good. Nov 9-10 Atlanta Legacy Showcase. If its anything like the summer showcase will be another great tournament to be seen by coaches. Most of the girls on the team are from western Ky. Have one girl from Greenwood. Their undefeated state championship rings are nice.
  16. I am back, between fall ball and high school practices I forgot sign up when the free offer ended!
  17. I am stopping for some quality control on the wings!!
  18. I think he meant that a teachers schedule allows them to get off work in time to be there after school, not that they spent any less time per day devoted to softball.
  19. People take time off from softball?!?!?!?!
  20. They were without a doubt great games. Hope to see a lot more over the next few years.
