I am a "HUGE" believer of beating the teams above you to move up and since Ryle beat us 5-1 I pesonally would flip flop us and them. Its nice to get the votes though I am not going to lie! All the hard work of the girls is starting to pay off.
I don't know of any drop rules for high school. My daughter has used a drop 8 and 10 and no ump ever said anything. Demarini has always made a good bat. My daughter has always used their CF series. I would avoid the bats they make with the square neck. They tend to break! :(
Unless she is serious about it don't spend more than 75-100 bucks. If she is serious still buy her a cheaper bat and use the extra money on lessons. In my opinion not a lot of difference in bats in that price range. Its more important to find a bat sized for her. When my daughter uses her bigger bat and by bigger I mean 2 ounces I can see a difference in her swing. I am amazed at how many girls swing "war clubs".
There is a saying I like to use. "If you have a 300 dollar bat and a 20 dollar swing you have a 20 dollar bat"
They did but all 3 games were 1 run games. All were actually very fun games to be involved in as well. Its a rivalry for sure. I believe only 1 senior was lost from both teams.
Also their deep fences hurt them. With bases loaded a shot was hit and on a field with 200ft fences its an easy grand slam. At the time the score was 2-0 Birds. Good defense held them to one run on that hit. a 4-2 lead would definitely have switched momentum. I still believe HHS would have won but the score didn't show how close it could have been.
I think that could be a lot for NCC to overcome. Will be a chance for some younger girls to show what they have as well. I will take our fellow district mates in a score of 7-5!!
We keep Graybill in cold storage. We wake her up long enough each day to eat, lift, take her 200 swings off a tee and take her steroid injections. Then its back into storage until the next day. Sometimes we let her wander the streets staring at the elderly and kicking puppies!!!!
