Highlands is on track for a winning record this year and a good shot at making regionals. Has some great young players who will keep up the winning ways for the foreseeable future. Need to get over the hump of beating the top teams in the region.

District 33 1. Ryle 2. Conner District 34 1. St. Henry 2. Dixie District 35 1. Notre Dame 2. Holy Cross District 36 1. Highlands 2. NCC The problem for Highlands in this scenario is the chance of drawing Conner as their first round game, if that happens they still have to go through some combo of NDA/ Ryle to win it. Best case for the Birds has them and St Henry on the same side of the bracket which would place Conner there as well. For the Birds to win it they need NCC/Dixie to pull an upset and then get past Conner/ St. Henry. For this to happen the bracket would have to look like 1.Highlands 2. Holy Cross 3.St. Henry 4.Conner 5. Ryle 6. NCC 7. NDA 8. Dixie I think the Birds can do this but they need to get hot at the end of the season and play error free softball. So of course I am voting for Highlands!!! You can change Boone for Conner and still works out the same for the Birds.

How do they determine which district winners play which runner ups?

Have played both teams twice and I voted for NCC. I think they have more offense and have to pull for other 36th district teams!! Final 10-3

How is it that the Beechwood baseball team has a nice stadium to play in and the girls have to play on the football field?

It was definitely one oft he best catches I have seen this year for sure.

It was a young guy. o don't know if was around back then.

I hope he gets chance to umpire in the regional tournament this year. He was so consistent with his zone that it was near impossible to say anything. He did admit when Turner hit that shot to left he thought it was gone and didn't watch the bases. Since it was caught it was fine.

Was a great game that went way to fast. Only had 1 umpire but I thought he was the best we have seen all year. Got to meet Lawnboy finally. I am convinced he does witchcraft to keep us from hitting!

The top 4 are definitely who have to go through to make it to the region championship. This year I think though that there could be a non top 4 team in the finals the gap between everyone is not as it was in the past. The 5-10 teams are all solid just each has an area that can hurt them against the other 5-10 teams and definitely against the top 4.

Lets not get carried away now. My heart is fragile as it is.
