The Bulldogs young pitchers did their very best and threw with some speed, but had a very difficult time finding the strike zone to the tune of 14 walks & 3 hit batsmen. The Breds score their 1st 10 runs on zero hits. NewCath's Morgan Martini collects the only Breds 2 base hits, one in the 3rd the other in the 4th.

 

For the Bulldogs the "little" Tucker girl, who played 2nd base for Dixie last year, played her butt off tonight. She had 9 total chances with the majority of them "hard ground balls" and caught every one of them, although she throw three of them wide at 1st for errors. On Martini's 1st hit of the game she came within inches of making "one hell of a catch" with a complete "airbourne dive" to the 3rd base side of SS. Then on a ball popped up in short right, behind the 2nd basemen, she made it all the way over to make the catch (you had to see it to believe it, it was UNBELIEVABLE.) At the plate she was 1-3 with two "frozen ropes" to center, one of which went for a single.
