Not often that there is a prediction thread in the softball forum, except for the Regional tourney. However, for the "fish-eaters" of Campbell Co. this is a big game every year, with bragging rights on the line. Many of these girls are former grade school teammates and/or opponents and are very fimiliar with one another. Both teams seem to be evenly matched and this one looks like it will be a "good ole good one". First pitch at 5:00 on Thursday at Bartlett Field in Newport.

Our Big Green friend has been non-existent in the softball forum for quite some time, will the Lady 'Stangs provide him with the oppourtunity for us to hear from him again or will he be relegated to yet more silence? What say you??????

All kidding aside, I miss seeing BGH reports.

I'm awaiting G1's prediction on this battle. I'll be there in person in case anyone has any questions about transferring to NDA to join the Bass Fishing team :)

I am not sure there will be anything left of Brossart after having to play Holy Cross on Wednesday. I am sure we will where them out until the end then find a way to lose.

I will take NCC by 14.

NCC by 1.

That's funny!

We will be waiting quite some time, he has been suspended for being a bad boy. :sssh:

Have played both teams twice and I voted for NCC. I think they have more offense and have to pull for other 36th district teams!! Final 10-3

Even though I have NCC winning big I would like to see Brossart win so they start getting back on the board, no fun making fun of them behind their back.

What? Again? I'll guess we'll have to wait for post #1 from "G2" or "iownstmarys"

This is a game of 2 under achieving squads this year looking for a good win. A good ole good one as LB states is probably not in the cards except for the rivalry of this game. Checking good old Khsaa for these teams results shows lots of struggles against good teams and wins against bad ones. NCC is 10-10 and the 10 wins aren't against impressive teams (Scott (2), Beechwood, Villa, Bellevue, Holmes, Dayton(2), Ludlow). Their signature win is against an 8-9 Holy Cross team that hasn't beaten anyone either. Brossart same story. 6-12 with wins over (Holmes, Silver Grove, Scott, Lloyd (2),) Their signature win is against a 9-9 Carroll Co squad. Thank goodness for the Scotts, Bellevues, Daytons and Silver Groves or these teams might be each looking for their 2nd win of the year. Brossart appears to be giving up alot of runs in their losses. While NCC has held teams to some smaller numbers in losses but struggle to score against same teams. I'm gonna say NC wins this game 9-5 but nothing would surprise me.

I'm going with the lady Breds 10-8. I think Brossart will have more RBI's and hits as the BGH will magically appear and pencil whip LB into submission

No, I take that back. Lady Breds still win but I have faith in LB that he refuses to be pencil whipped by BGH and comes back strong after a standing 8 count from the big fella.

100% correct.

I will probably comment on the rest of your post later......don't have time right now.

BBHS will have plenty left after beating up on HC. HC may be overrated and we hope that BBHS is final reach the level of play they had last year. Time will tell.
