I think Campbell is right where they should be. Their 3 losses came from teams that are ahead of them. Highlands, SK and Conner. Rankings are done from strength of schedule, head to head and wins and losses. So to think a team should be ranked ahead of another team because "I think we are better, even though they beat us" or "We dominated them but still lost" is absurd. Do I think the middle of the pact is evenly matched? Absolutely. Any of those teams could beat another one on any given day but they didn't and rankings aren't done by what ifs and we should of won. Camels earned that ranking and they should be ahead of all the teams they beat. Camel fans are excited about the success and and positive vibe that Coach Lickert and staff have brought to the county since taking over the reigns. Don't discredit the boys success on the field because they've worked hard and earned everything they've got.

Are they playing Ryle next week in the championship? I was told tonight that the Ryle frosh were told last night was their last game and they needed to clean out their lockers today. That's coming from a parent with a kid on Ryles team. :idunno:

I think the Camels roll this week. Their offense is looking better every week. The O-line has been controlling the line of scrimmage and opening huge holes for the RBs to hit. Avery Wood is a load to bring down and has been throwing the ball extremely well. I look for another huge night from the defense as well. As a fan, you always want your team peaking and playing its best football at the end of the year and Coach Lickert has his team doing that once again. I'm going to say Camels win by 4+ TDs. Go Camels keep the momentum going!:thumb: ooh rah.

Not sure how much these two girls will contribute this year at the varsity level but they are definitely nice ball players and will gain important varsity knowledge at a young age which many dont get a chance at. Paige Bowling, Taylor Griffin played up at the varsity level as 7th graders in recent school history

Your correct that Cov Cath beat Ryle at the Jr. High last year. Don't remember the score. I would say the biggest difference is physical maturity and kids from different feeder programs coming together their freshman year. Just a guess and my opinion.

I'm a Camel fan and I will say that Scott earned and deserves the #1 seed. Doesn't matter if we beat you 9 out of 10 times. If that one game was the district game and you beat us then you deserve it. We played Scott twice in different tournaments and beat them but in the district game at our own home court they beat us. I certainly don't feel we should be the #1 seed. We got the seed that we deserve and earned and have to try to win the districts the hard way. We dug ourselves in a hole and we'll see if the girls can fight their way out of it. :thumb:

Can't speak for Ryle but I've seen every Camel game and they are without a doubt getting better every week. Majority of people on here never gave us a chance because we lost some key players from last year but the kids and coaches have worked their tails off and it shows. Coaches have done a great job of developing younger talent to step in and succeed. Great things happening in the county. Keep it boys!:thumb: ooh rah

Congrats to Coach Lickert and the Camels with an impressive district win tonight. Offensive line for the Camels controlled the war in the trenches all night. Alex Howard and Avery Wood were unstoppable running the ball and I have been really impressed with the way Avery has been throwing the ball. Kid has a canon for an arm. Camel Defense had another good game. I was worried about this game all week and thought it would be closer. Thankfully I was wrong. Coaching staff did a masterful job of putting a game plan together and keeping the boys focused. Great job all the way around. They keep getting better, week after week. :thumb:

Explaining it does not even do it justice. I know it made impact on me. Everyone was standing and cheering as loud as they could and the Beechwood players mobbed him in the end zone like he just won the state championship for them. When they hoisted him up on their shoulders and carried him off the field it was icing on the cake. Not a dry eye in sight. Definitely something I was glad to see in person and something that will leave an impression on me for ever.

The points didn't go towards the score. The beautiful thing was that boy ran like it was 4th and goal of the Super Bowl. Very inspirational moment.

It was at the start of the game. No one knew what was happening in the stands. At least on the Camels side we didn't. They lined up at our forty yard line and we were saying what is going on? No kickoff? This young man was in full gear so we were clueless on what was going on but we figured it out real quick. Very touching moment. Well done by all parties involved. :thumb:

This was awesome, sometimes things like this put things into perspective and show us fans and the kids what it is all about. Kudos to both teams for making this happen in this young mans life. When they carried him off the field up on their shoulders, I thought of the joy that it brought to this kids life and brought me to tears. Truly a spectacular moment and one that young man will cherish forever.

Two choices: A. Place your daughters team low in the top 10 and take a chance on her being mad at you or B. place them in the top 5 and keep the peace. Good choice RCC. I would of went with B as well, but I would of had to put my daughters team at #1. Cause she's her mothers daughter and I'm not going down that lonely road. :thumb:

As fans we never know what trials or tribulations coaches or players are going through in their personal life's. The whole nky football mourns for the family and the entire Dixie community. I hope they can come out inspired and play their best football. Truly a tough and sad situation and I pray that God comforts them in their time of need. :thumb:

I believe this will be a low scoring game. I'll take the Camels 17-10, but I believe this could very well be a trap game for the Camels, coming off their big win against Dixie, if they aren't careful. Hope I'm wrong on that and Coach Lickert keeps them focused on the task at hand as he always does. Go Camels!!

I think it would take a perfect storm for SK to win it all but they definitely have a chance at it. Their defense is good enough to keep it close enough for Kuntz and company to pull out some W's. I would say they for sure have a punchers chance, especially after seeing some scores from the big dogs in 6A on Friday. I would never say never, because if the perfect storm happened to form uk#1fan would be camping out in front of my house to hit me in the face with a special crow pie. :thumb:

Knowing memyselfandi, I would say that member was not fishing for anything or trying to start a soap opera, membyselfandi simply asked about it because he/she was surprised by it, as was I. District game with a lot at stake, I thought the place would be packed and rockin. I to have been to Plenty of games and will say it always baffled me how the smaller schools have more of a fan base than the larger schools and a larger student section. But believe me, memyselfandi wasn't taking a shot at Dixie or trying to stir the pot. memyselfandi is passionate about Camel football and the kids. I saw nothing wrong with what was said or what a lot of others said in the prediction thread and the final score thread about the Camels. Just opinions of others.

He was wanting a time out. Not sure why, maybe he saw something he didn't like. He went bananas on the the official on Dixie's sidelines and then proceeded to go bananas on the white hat with a few adjectives thrown in which warranted the flag. Not sure if he called it late or called it at all but I will say that referee crew is ranked #1 in this area and if he called it they would of given it to him. I think it was more out of frustration for the way the game was going for them.

I guess the Camels are the Rodney Dangerfield of 6A football. They just get NO RESPECT. That's ok. Put me in the category of you can feel your team is better than us but we'll keep taking the W's.
