Congrats to The Camels Logan Schneider who will continue his education and football career at Tiffin University. Logan is a tremendous young man from a top notch family. Well done Logan, the Camel faithful will miss you but look forward to following your progress at the next level. :thumb:

We don't want just someone or anyone. We want someone that is going to push the girls and instill valuable life lessons in them. We had that in Coach Murray and unfortunately, like RCC9 said, who is going to want to come here and coach? Someone that wants a head coaching job with no experience or a puppet on a string. I would be highly surprised if a big name coach applied for this job or if Coach Bradshaw even applied for it because of all the :poop: he has had to deal with this year, which is a whole other story in itself. It's going to be interesting to see how this all plays out when the season ends? Who applies? Who comes back to play? If the young 8th graders stay or leave? The talent is there for this team to be successful for many years. Big question is how does it all shake out? Time will tell and unfortunately the girls are the ones suffering from all this. This should be a time of their life that they'll remember and cherish forever, but it has turned into a nightmare that they all would rather forget.

I agree 100%. Matt has worked his tail off to get where he is. Really a great kid and has an incredible work ethic. He's put on some muscle and his jumping ability has improved tremendously and his shot has improved and let's not forget he's only a sophomore. I watched him last summer in some AAU ball and he's come along way just in one year. Keep working hard Matt the Camel faithful are proud of you. :thumb:

Has to do with their defensive effort not "how dare you lose to Highlands". Don't look into as a slight to Highlands. Coaches werent happy with their defense and they demand great defense so practice was going to be very intense and focused on defense. I saw the practice plan and made that statement. Why would you take that as a shot at highlands because NCC coaches were not happy with their teams effort and defense? Making a mountain out of a mole hill, I guess they should of been happy to have gotten beat. Geez :idunno:

Another nice freshman player in the 10th is Campbell County's Cole Hegyi. He's logged a few varsity minutes but starts JV and is a very nice player.

Spencer Pangallo is a freshman. There are no 8th graders on the basketball team. The Pangallo that is an 8th grader is Steven who plays for Holy Trinity.

He's only an 8th grader so it doesn't matter if he played varsity or not. If he was in high school and played varsity then he would be locked in at that school but since he's only in 8th grade he can still shop schools even if he played varsity. CVH started varsity at Villa Madonna as an 8th grader and went to Cov Cath.

Lady Camels fell behind early in the 1st quarter by as many as 13. They gave up 19 1st quarter points. They fought back and decided to play some defense in the 2nd quarter and cut the lead to 3 at the half 23-20. The Fillies of Harrison County came out in the 3rd and went up by 9 only to see the Camels fight back and cut the lead to 3 again going into the 4th. Lady Camels fought back and tied the game up at 40 and took their 1st lead of the game at 42-40 with about 2 minutes left. The Camels made their free throws to bring the games final score to 48-44. Camels were led in scoring by Taylor Jolly with 14 and Carson Gray with 11. A big congrats to Harrison County's Doram who led all scorers with 24 and scored her 2000th point in the 1st quarter. A very nice player who posts up as strong as any girl I've seen this year. Nice game also by Camels 8th grader Mckenzie Schwarber, only scored 4 points but did so much more that won't show up in the box score. Taking charges and getting steals and banging with Doram down low. Nice win for the Camels and have to take this momentum into tomorrow's match up with the always tough Notre Dame. Very good team win tonight just don't fall so far behind or they may have to get the defibrillator out on this old man. :thumb:

Buffalo chicken chili 1 LB ground chicken 1 onion diced 1/2 cup celery chopped 1/2 cup carrots chopped 1 cup of chicken broth 1 15oz can petite diced tomatoes 1 can of cannellini beans rinsed and drained 1 tsp cummin 1 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp oregano 1/4 tsp cayenne 1/2 cup of hot sauce Salt/pepper to taste Crumbled blue cheese Cook chicken in skillet and set aside Heat olive oil add onions, celery, carrots. Cook until tender 10-15 minutes Add garlic and cumin 1 minute Add broth, chicken, tomatoes, beans rest of spices and hot sauce cook for 15-30 min If u like blue cheese this really makes it good. Top with crumbled blue cheese an enjoy. I usually double the recipe and add it all in a large pot. I usually put more onion and broth in it than what's called for.

Agree. Seems like the excuse is always the same, we cant because of Liability reasons. I wanted the gym to be opened for kids to play pick up games on certain days. Told the same thing, liability reasons we can't and they threw in the paying for the electric for the lights. My response was you could of used the money saved from moving the softball fence in to pay the electric bill. Guess they have to be like that when some of our own school board members sue the school.

LB, don't even try to figure it out cause I've been dealing with it for years. When they were wanting to move our softball fences in for fast pitch a bunch of the dads said we'd come up and do it in one weekend. (Cooler of beer/post hole diggers). They wouldn't allow us to for what ever reason. They paid a contractor to do it. Blew my mind. If parents are willing to help and put in the work let them do it and save a buck. Use the money saved on the kids to better their education. :idunno: And the dynamic duo said its too cold and they may break a nail. Lol

Has to be the same JO's that cleared my street and pushed all snow in front of my drive way. Can't even pull in my drive way because the snow is butt hole deep to a giraffe. Whewwwww, I feel better now.

A much needed win for the lady Camels and it was nice to see the girls smiling for once after the game. Always nice to see Coach Ann Merkley who is an absolutely fantastic person. :thumb:

On game day if a girl is tardy for school is she eligible to play that night? If she has an excuse or a doctor slip does it matter? Is it a school rule or a KHSSA rule? I was told if a player is tardy to school on game day that they could not play that night? Just a question I wasn't 100% sure what the rule was?

No need for this. I'm not saying tell your kids to quit playing but good Lord slow it down and work on your half court sets. Tell them to run the plays all the way through or nobody shoots until all 5 girls touch the ball. If you do that with a running clock the score will take care of itself. :no:

Game was tied 50 all and Boone went on a 12-2 run late in the 4th. Lady Camels never quit and went on an 8-1 run with a minute left to bring the final to 63-60. Proud of the Camels for their persistence and never quit attitude. Also I always enjoy watching Nell coach. Both teams just got after it last night and was a fun game to watch. Lady Camels just ran out of time. Keep fighting girls, your so close to overcoming all the obstacles thrown at you. :thumb:

Not sure what grade Stovall is in but she dropped 31 on us. 15 from the charity stripe and the rest from layups off steals or beating her girl off the dribble. Not very tall but quick as a gazelle and can finish. Nice player.

Should of seen the 1st quarter..... At the pace they were on I thought may score 189.

I was very impressed with the lady Bulldogs athleticism. Very quick and they can flat get to the rim and finish. If you face the dogs and your guards don't/can't handle full court pressure, you are in for a long night. Lady Camels just had to many turnovers and gave up a ton of layups. They played hard but the bulldogs set the tempo of the game and we definitely didn't want this game to turn into a track meet......
