:idunno: don't have a clue. Brossart played on the court next to us Friday and Saturday so I got to see them play several games and they looked solid.

Mustangs did look good and I would say it is definitely up in the air. Camels aren't down, just transitioning through yet another coaching change. If Camels or Scott overlook Brossart they will be mistaken. Should be an interesting year. :thumb:

How do they determine who makes the gold bracket? Is it W-L or sets W-L?

Camels lost in their final game in 3 sets to Louisville Male to send the Camels to the silver bracket. Very good game. Scott also lost their last game (not sure who they lost to) and Brossart won all of their games to advance to the gold bracket.

NKY teams are doing well. Camels, Brossart and Scott undefeated so far. Play their last pool game at 1:00 today. Ryle and Cooper at different gym so I have no info on them.

I was trying to figure out who the kids parents were but if they were there I couldn't tell. I agree the coach is an idiot and will ruin that kids arm and shouldn't be allowed to coach but the unfortunate thing was he was within the guidelines of the tournament outs required. Every tournament is different, some go by outs recorded and some by innings pitched and they both are a joke. My 15 u team won't go over 80 pitches and will NEVER throw back to back days unless they throw 20 or less pitches they day before and I still don't like doing that if I can avoid it and thankfully I haven't had to do that.

Tournament past weekend went by outs recorded. I saw a 13 year old throw 132 pitches on Saturday against a friends team and came back on Sunday and the coach pitched him again and he threw 70 pitches on Sunday and still never recorded the maximum number of outs for the 2 days. Sad!!

Agree 1000%. Barrett and the girls were thrown into a no win situation last year. As far as Beau making the adjustment from boys to girls, if Ron Dawn can do it without pulling out his golden lettuce then I'm giving Beau a great chance. :thumb:

Some call it Bush league, I call it smart baseball. Your taught at a young age not to take your lead until the pitcher toes the rubber. Quick story: I'm playing shortstop, 1 out and a runner on 1st. Runner attempts to steal and the pitch is in the dirt. I'm at 2nd base and put my hands up and tell the runner foul ball. Kid turns to return to 1st and we nail him. He took the bait like a large mouth bass. He was not a happy camper and I knew when I came to bat next time I was going to wear one. True story that happened in a college regional game. We went on to win 4-3 against the 7th ranked team in the country. That's not bush league, just knowin the game better and out smarting your opponent.

I have not and I will not ever jeopardize a kids arm or future for a Win.

Don't take memyselfandi's comments as an excuse or a slight to Bourbon's win. All they are saying is you can't make mistakes against teams, especially very good teams, and expect to have a chance to win. Whether it was an error or a mental error sounds like Bourbon capitalized on the Camels mistakes and that's what good/great teams do. Good luck the rest of the way.

Which should make the Camels/Pioneers game a good one because SK QB this year will be no where near as good as Kuntz.

Not sure what you mean with the bolded? Matt was the Jv QB last year and the varsity backup behind Avery. He was projected to be the starter this year but has decided not to play and focus on basketball. Camels football will survive, I can promise you that if Matt played this year, he would of had to earn that starting spot. This coaching staff isn't going to hand a starting job to anyone. All this talk about players not playing this year, I will simply say this, I wouldn't want a kid on my team without his heart into it. Give me kids that play and train with heart and passion. When adversity hits, I know which kid I want in the foxhole with me.

This was the same question last year after Tyler Durham graduated and Avery Wood stepped up and did a tremendous job at QB. I believe coach Lickert will have several kids trying out for the QB spot and I have faith in this coaching staff that they will award the job to the kid that gives them the best chance to win. Some are freaking out and writing us off because Matt Wilson isn't playing, I wish him well in basketball but he had no experience as a varsity QB. QB experience but not at the varsity level. One good thing is a lot of the O line is back so it should make it easier on whoever wins the QB job. If your looking for names at the QB position, I would be guessing but I do know this coaching staffs goals haven't changed and they are going to work relentlessly to achieve them!:thumb:

I think some of sophomores to be will contribute next season. Spencer Pangallo, Job Freppon and Cole Carmack are very nice players and will gain significant minutes at the varsity level. I saw Kobe Talon during baseball and that kid is getting bigger every time I see him. I think NCC will be fine, biggest questions are QB, which underclass men step up and staying healthy.

Campbell county job is open. She left on her own. Only thing wrong with this decision is its made very late and now its a scramble to find a coach. Hopefully the administration finds someone quickly that is qualified and will push these girls

I was not aware that Runion was an 8th grader. Kid has great size, smashed the ball against us and has a live fastball. Very impressed with him. I would say Cooper had the best freshman pitchers at the freshman level that I saw all year. I think we saw 3 pitchers in our game that threw harder than anyone I've seen all year. So I would agree that Cooper will have a very nice team in the next couple years if they all stay healthy. :thumb:

Correct but who cares who went further in the playoffs? Neither of us won the state championship. 1st round loser, 2nd round loser or 3rd round loser, does it matter? People only remember the rings.
