Is this like electing the new Pope. Has smoke come out of Campbell County Board of Education and it takes another couple hours to announce who it is? Just kidding. I will bite who is it?

Lady camels basketball has some good young talent. Whoever it is will have a nice team.

Does anyone have a name?

As in Beau, the former freshmen boys coach?

Great hire. He knows his stuff. Congratulations Coach Menefee.

I thought he was the old boys JR. high coach. Also was the varsity boys coach at Bellevue.

Congrats. Met him one time and seems to know the game. Good luck.

He has been at Highlands the last two years.

2012/2013 Boys frosh coach under Flynn

2013/2014 Boys JV coach under Listerman

I'm going to express what is probably an unpopular opinion, but IMO coaching girls is a completely different animal than coaching boys. I would be hesitant to hire someone at the varsity level that had no experience coaching girls.

I know Beau very well and nothing against him in this case, but I agree with this statement 100%.

Great guy! Great coach. I do not think he will have much of an issue going to the girls side. If he gets a good support staff with experience that can help him a bit.

Best wishes to coach Menefee

Great guy and coach no doubt. I would have to agree that going from boys to girls varsity, particularly in light of this situation could be tough. Guess we have to wait and see what the "decision" makers feel about this hire and how much support he gets. I hope for his sake that he establishes his expectations for parents immediately and gets good support to keep that noise down.
