Yes I know that. We beat them during the year to win districts and they beat us in the playoffs and last year Butler beat us both in the playoffs. Bottom line is we won districts and didn't advance in the playoffs and last year SK did the same thing winning district and getting beat by Butler. And if you add all that up it equals district champions and no state titles however you look at it. New Year with new players is all I'm saying.

Key words being last year! Love how the Camels win 2 of the last 3 district titles and still get bulletin board material on here and no respect. New year and new kids so don't hurt your hand beating on your chest Tarzan!:thumb:

Nothing wrong with holding kids accountable for their actions (good or bad). LB gives the girls credit when they deserve it and when they don't deserve it, he don't. I've never seen him single out a player on BGP for playing bad but he does when they do good. Hell someone singled out his daughter as being "clueless in left field" that to me is inappropriate. Maybe after games both teams can join hands around the mound and sing kumbaya! Keep doing what your doing LB.

Faith, my friend, everyone thought the same thing when Tyler Durham graduated and Avery Wood stepped in and was huge for the offense. It'll work out fine, no worries.

Camels have enough quality athletes and I have enough faith in The coaching staff that they will reload with another QB as they have done the past 2 years. Core of the O-Line and core of the D will return. :thumb:

Camels led 3-0 early only to see the Bluebirds come back to take a 5-3 lead going into the last inning. In the top of the 7th Camels plate 3 runs to take a 6-5 lead. With 2 outs and a runner on 3rd, 8th grader Nathan Schaeffer got the batter to ground out for the final out of the game and notch the camels first victory of the year. Side note, this was the first time I have seen Highland Park since I played on it for the late Tom Morris and cudos to Coach Baioni for the work they put into this field.

Open the season with the beechies and come back with Lloyd and suppose to play Highlands tomorrow. Great things happening at Ludlow and sounds like they are not shying away from the competition. Congrats Coach Gray, staff and kids.

I agree TAC. Wilson doesn't have to outplay Hall and shouldn't be expected too, if he stays out of foul trouble and Holbrook and Jackson do their thing they can win. I expect Hall to go at Wilson and try to get him in foul trouble, if that happens we are in trouble. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Hall vs Wilson will definitely be a battle, also curious to see if you can stroll in with 56 seconds til game time and get a better seat than Randy Parker?

Congrats lady Breds on a fantastic year. 2 point victory over Holy Cross and Notre Dame and 2 point loss to Butler. A coach wants his team to play hard and execute the game plan and that will put the team in a position to win games and they certainly did that all year. Good luck to the seniors and the juniors got a taste of the state which I believe will make them hungry for next year. :thumb:

Well put PB and to take it a little further, Mike worked the concession stand every night!! Because the girls program was in charge of it and Mike understands the money benefits the girls. Agree with everything you posted. For me a big difference in the game was when Schneider got in foul trouble. Kid can play, he was penetrating and getting to the rim and getting Ohmer wide open looks. When Schneider was out they looked out of sync. Thought Dre Jackson was outstanding, smooth player with a nasty cross over. Matt Wilson was a force on the inside, kid has worked his tail off and it shows in his play. As far as the officials? I thought they let the kids play a physical game which I prefer. Rather see that than a whistle fest and 60 free throws like in the girls game on Tuesday.

Congrats to the lady Eagles and good luck in the finals. Lady Camels season comes to an end after such an emotional year. Proud of the way the girls overcame all the wrongful adversity put on them this year. I will go on record as to say I have never experienced a season like this and hope I never do again. Very unfortunate. Game tonight was one of the absolute worst officiated games that I have ever seen. I am not saying the lady Camels win this game regardless and don't want to take anything away from the lady Eagles but WOW!! Lady Eagles only make 8 field goals but shoot 46 free throws to the lady Camels 15 free throws and win by 14. I understand we fouled at the end but they were in double bonus in the 1st quarter.

Maybe he wanted a shot at the BGP title?

I don't have any stats but was a good game to watch. Was close the whole way and tied with a minute left and the Lady Camels held it for the last shot and called timeout with 5 seconds left. Taylor Jolly drove the lane and hit the game winner as time expired. Dixie only had 4 team fouls at the time so not sure why they didn't foul when she put the ball on the floor with only 5 seconds left and 2 fouls to give. Jolly had a big game for the Camels and Tibbs had a huge game for Dixie, not sure how many she had but my guess would be around 30. Nice win for the Camels. :thumb:

Agree. Without a doubt there is a difference. I was just stating that most of the time (from what I have seen) the parents that don't help out are usually the ones doing all the complaining which destroys team chemistry before a coach can even develop it. Coach will never be able to coach a kid with parents like that because they will never be able to earn their respect. If the parents are that ignorant to act like that at the game can you imagine what the ride home is like? I believe it's a growing concern that has gotten worse every year. Sometimes a player's greatest challenge is coming to grips with his role on the team. (I guess it's the parents greatest challenge as well)

I've spoke up before when parents were getting on players of their own team. You want to see the animal come out in someone just start bashing their kids. Usually if someone is bashing a coach I'll give them the 40 question routine on how they would coach that situation, and tell them if they feel that strongly about it to apply for a coaching job. You'll usually find out that these are the same people that don't put in a single minute to help out the organization but are the 1st ones to complain about everything. They don't help with concessions, fundraising or anything else that benefits the "team" and that puts their own kid under a microscope for their mistakes. It's gotten really bad over the years and in no way shape or form should the family of a coach or family of a player have to defend them at a game. If administration isn't going to put these parents in their place then maybe a group of parents form a committee that when something like this takes place, the committee steps in. Would be very intimidating to have about 10 fathers confront the parent and put him in his place and may even force the administration to grow a set of kahunas and step in.
