  1. Lady Camels come out on fire in game one and go up by as many as 8 points only to see Boone battle back but and cut the lead to 23-21. Camels regroup and take the next 2 points to win game 1 25-21. Game 2 started even with both teams trading points back and forth. Boone took a 3 point lead late only to see the Camels battle back and get to game/match point but Boone ties things up at 24. Boone kept going up a point and served several times for the game but the Camels seemed to always have an answer. With things all knotted up at 28 all, the lady Camels take the last 2 points to win game 2 and the match 30-28. Game 2 was one of the most exciting games that I have seen in a long time. Several game saving plays by girls on both teams. Very exciting and throw in that it was breast cancer awareness night and it was well worth the price of admission. Great job girls from both sides. :thumb:
  2. This much excitement? This thread is not even a page long and has 758 views. Reverse the outcome of this game and this thread is 8 pages long. This JV game may not matter to you but it does to the kids.
  3. Campbell County finished 3-3. Won 2 on Friday and went 1-3 on Saturday
  4. Only 2 posters have mentioned the girls attitudes, you and 184vv. I defended their attitudes with both of you. NKYVB and wxyz talked about problems and tensions that occurred at KBA, I have no problem with that. I agree that the parents can have a huge effect on the girls attitudes and that's why when my kids come home complaining about something I tell them to work harder. I gave my opinion on your post in the NCC thread. You came back here as if to gloat about what occurred at the KBA. With your apple comment I know where you were going with that. It's all good :thumb:
  5. No one getting stirred up. One disgruntled parent posted on the game thread vs NCC about the girls attitudes. You put your 2 cents in and I put my 2 cents in. Then when something happens at KBA, you want to get on here gloat about it. I've defended the girls, not the parents or the coach. Hell most these girls have had 3 different coaches throughout there high school career. No stability and that starts from the top. My invitation to attend a game still stands and we can discuss the cheap, classless, cowardly shot you took about "Apple not falling far from the tree"
  6. Not sure what your problem with Camel volleyball is? Once again you link all the girls with bad attitudes and it's just not true. Hmmmm.... You weren't there but yet you want to link everyone with a bad attitude. Do you even have a clue what took place on Saturday? Any girls team is going to have some kind of drama. All it takes is one parent unhappy with little Susie's playing time and the situation can look real ugly, real quick. Oh and by the way I stand by my comment that the Camel girls don't have bad attitudes and I cordially invite you to the next Camel home game. Maybe you could point out all the bad attitudes of the girls :lol2:
  7. Very nice win by the Camels. Great team victory all the way around.
  8. We didn't exactly do ourselves any favors in the first half with fumbles, a safety and pass interference calls to prolong HHS drives.
  9. Very proud of the way CCHS never gave up after being down 23-0. Showed a lot of heart coming out of halftime and played tough hard nosed football. HHS played on a short field the majority of the first half, I believe their worst field position was their own 40. When CCHS puts it all together and plays all 4 quarters they are going to be one dynamite team. Proud of ya boys keep getting better. Go Camels. :thumb:
  10. I respect your opinion but I can say with certainty that any attitude you may have seen last year was mainly brought on by last years coach. As wxyz stated same coach had a ton of problems in club ball. I don't know all the details on that but I do on the Camels situation past and present. I've seen more attitude from officials and last years coach than I have the players. 2 state appearances the last two years so we must be doing something right. I appreciate everyone's concern but the attitudes are just fine and sometimes competitiveness is mistaken for attitude. The kids understand that what's said during competition is over after a game, I just wish some of the parents and fans understood it. All is well in Camel land and the girls will push forward to achieve their Team goals.
  11. I've been to 90% of the games over the last 9 years and I've seen some attitude but not anymore than any other team or any that is detrimental to the team. Campbell County has built a nice volleyball program over the years and every year there are different team leaders. I can say that in 9 years I've seen disgruntled/crazy parents tear a team apart but never kids. We have the majority of our team back from the past 2 years that won regional and went to state, back to back years. I've known most of these girls since grade school. I'm not naive to think that there hasn't been any drama but the girls always seem to take care of it "themselves" or in house and rise to the occasion. I have no problem with a team leader or a captain speaking their mind to underclassmen if they need it. Sometimes a reminder that individual goals or laziness is unacceptable whether it comes from a captain, a leader or the coach. They have a new coach again this year, which is the 6th coach over the last 9 years. I highly doubt coach Curry would put up with attitude or eye rolling, disrespect or tearing apart teammates, not in her demeanor. Most of these girls know what it takes to win regionals and go to state, they been pretty successful at it so the captains and leaders must be doing something right.
  12. Talked to several parents that was in attendance last night and they saw nothing that you are talking about. I hope your not a disgruntled parent venting on BGP and taking away from the hard work that the girls have put in. CCHS volleyball has some success and gets a nice win and people want to knock them down by bringing up past records, or claiming how down NCC is this year or claiming the girls have bad attitudes. The same thing is going on in the football thread on the Camels nice win against East Central. I don't think coach Curry would put up with any:poop: from parents or players.
  13. East Central is a good, physical football team. Opening night in St. Leon and we come away with a victory, Great job Camels. Just remember Camels, the only taste of success some people can get, is the bite they take out of you. Keep working hard gentlemen, One Team One Dream.
  14. Lady Camels jump out to big leads the first two sets as Dixie battles back to make it interesting but the Camels regrouped and are able to put them away. The 3rd set saw Dixie jump out to a comfortable lead only to have the lady Camels fight back and take the set and the match.
  15. I like Sinatras version better. What about "Dirty Diana" Michael Jackson or The Weekend?
  16. Johnny Cash "Hurt" is way better than the original
  17. Really hate when 75/71 south is backed up from the bridge into Ohio. The lanes for Ft. Washington way and 2nd street are clear and some idiot wants to come to a complete stop with his turn signal on cause they don't want to wait in traffic. Also hate the idiots on AA highway by the cinemas where the lane ends. They try and squeeze in to get 2 cars ahead. :taz:
  18. Campbell County 7th grade beat Holmes 44-7 and I left after the 1st quarter of the 8th grade game between The Camels and Summit View. Camels were rolling and leading 25-0 after 1st quarter.
  19. Today I hate everybody that got to sleep in because I have to work and the suds were calling my name last night.....feel like Mcgruff the crime dog this morning.....ruff
  20. Now that is some 100% genuine Nostradamus :poop: but how about an answer to the problem?
  21. Today I hate people that don't answer their phone.......especially phones that I'm paying for.:banghead:
  22. I hate concrete trucks that over turn on 75.
  23. I agree with that but since my kid goes to a rival school, it don't break my heart. :thumb:
