Kenton county School Board will not allow busses to leave the lot.

Just plain stupid, Holmes is not "out in the sticks".

They are literally 10 mins apart.

If Mason Co can drive an hour to play at Holmes on a day they didn't have school, I see no reason why Kenton Co BOE can't let Scott do the same.

DON'T try to make sense of it... DON'T try to be rational about it! Welcome to our world for the last two years now.

It would be funny (actually not) if a Kenton County school won the regional and had to forfeit their first down state game because the KC BOE deemed it too unsafe for travel.

I believe they can't get any busses to start in the frigid temps.

I thought Scott was one of the few schools who allowed players/parents to provide transportation to games?

Or am I thinking of Ryle and Boone Co schools?

I understand why stuff like this was implemented in the past but not allowing players/parents/coaches to provide transportation to/from games is just a bit over the top in my opinion.

Scott doesn't do that. They bus to everything they do.

Agreed.

When I was in high school I can remember half the teams we played driving themselves to the games and not using a bus.

It's happened (sort of). Last year, the middle School State Wrestling tournament was held on a day where the school board cancelled all activities. Most kids that qualified still went, but paid coaches were not allowed to coach or be present.

"Cancelled" and "Canceled" are both acceptable. Carry on.

Only way the kids get to games is by parents!

Maybe the transportation people at Kenton County Schools are afraid of going down and then up Taylor Mill Hill. That's a legit concern. Then again, they could just go down a mile on 275 and take the 3L Highway exit. The latter option seems highly do-able.

Are the roads that bad. I haven't been home this week, so I would have thought they would the main roads would be clean, especially TM hill.

School parking lots are a mess thats for sure. They wont have school Friday either if they dont get them cleaned up.
