Thats a really good win and a surprising one to me. Someone give us the details.

Congrats to the Bluebirds.

Highlands busted out to a 7 to 0 lead on NCC in the early minutes and then NCC had a 12-0 run before Highlands finally scored a basket in the 2nd quarter to trail 12-9 at the half. Game was pretty even in the second half with the momentum changer being a 3 pointer by Cam Johnston to give the Birds the lead again. NCC made a lot of unforced turnovers and honestly did not shoot the ball that well as a team, but they battled to the bitter end. Highlands got a big and one from Luke LaFrange that seemed to seal the deal late. Both teams shot the ball well from the free throw line late in the game. I would say Bryce Traylor and Grant Murray were the leading scorers for HHS and Austin Neff was probably the leading scorer for NCC.

Would not want to be an NCC freshman at practice today!

12 - 9 at the half? Must have been a defensive struggle.

I like hearing Austin Neff was the leading scorer for NCC. The kid can shoot!

Did Pangallo play for NCC? Moeves? How did they do?

Pangallo is in 8th. and yes.

I believe both Pangallo and Moeves both played. NCC did not shoot the ball very well from outside last night. From what I understand, they have not played since defeating CovCath about 10 days ago and it showed. I would assume that they will now be off for some time again because of the all-A state tourney. Highlands deserves the credit in this win. Really like how the 2 coaches of the Birds handle themselves on the sidelines. Both have a very bright future as high school coaches if they so desire to continue down that path.

I have seen the NCC frosh play 4 times this year and the birds once. NCC frosh seems to play to their competition at times. HHS had a couple of shooters, I think ncc would win 8 of 10 times played.
