Final from Alexandria tonight. The Lady Camels were down early in the game but kept fighting to come back to win the game.

Way to go Lady Camels!

Lady Camels fell behind early in the 1st quarter by as many as 13. They gave up 19 1st quarter points. They fought back and decided to play some defense in the 2nd quarter and cut the lead to 3 at the half 23-20. The Fillies of Harrison County came out in the 3rd and went up by 9 only to see the Camels fight back and cut the lead to 3 again going into the 4th. Lady Camels fought back and tied the game up at 40 and took their 1st lead of the game at 42-40 with about 2 minutes left. The Camels made their free throws to bring the games final score to 48-44. Camels were led in scoring by Taylor Jolly with 14 and Carson Gray with 11. A big congrats to Harrison County's Doram who led all scorers with 24 and scored her 2000th point in the 1st quarter. A very nice player who posts up as strong as any girl I've seen this year. Nice game also by Camels 8th grader Mckenzie Schwarber, only scored 4 points but did so much more that won't show up in the box score. Taking charges and getting steals and banging with Doram down low. Nice win for the Camels and have to take this momentum into tomorrow's match up with the always tough Notre Dame. Very good team win tonight just don't fall so far behind or they may have to get the defibrillator out on this old man. :thumb:
