The Wildcats are 1-3 since Russell Mackins went back home to Cairo. Is this team no longer a threat to contend in the 2nd Region?

If I'm not mistaken, a lot of dsitricts that don't seed can't because 2 or more teams refuse to play each other in the regular season. If they won't do it for district seeding, then how will they do it for regional seeding?

Posted elsewhere that UHA won by 6. Trigg was down 17 and came back to make it a ballgame. I'm sure there will be those that aren't happy that UHA didn't win by 549 points.

I re-read your post and see what I missed about the BOE calling the shots on this one. Thanks. For the record, I still don't have much faith in the KHSAA.

BTW, if the KHSAA's major reason for doing this is to keep kids from missing school, why not eliminate one week from the playoffs and play on Thanksgiving weekend? Michigan does this (3 games on Friday and Saturday) and it works out quite well.

And it isn't a problem when, say, Mayfield fans drive to Danville one weekend then Louisville the next? I am in total agreement with guru on this. I think football is getting the shaft and is being treated like the "little brother" to basketball by the KHSAA. Then they wonder why many people don't have confidence and faith in them.

I'm in the minority when I say that I don't like it. I liked the "two and two" much better. With the addition of 2 more classes, the possibility of 3 games at 2 sites is a reality from my perspective.
