Jeff Adams, a 6-8, 320 pound lineman from Trigg County, has committed to the University of Louisville. Adams informed UL Tuesday of his decision Tuesday and has an official visit planned for UL this weekend. Adams chose UL over Nebraska. He also considered Tennessee and Oklahoma and had offers from all four.

Sounds like a good pickup for the Cards. Seems like that UK's recruiting class is overshadowing who UL is getting. They don't have a half bad class coming in either.

Louisville has a very nice class coming in with a nice group of young players already. This is a great recruit for the Cards. They have a good offensive line coach. Go Cards!

His final 2 were UK and UofL...he was pretty high on the Huskers back in the fall though. Congrats to the Cards...a solid pickup.

It may have been more of a case of Adams going elsewhere. NU and several others were adamant (no pun intended) of Adams playing O-line, which he has only played in HS for two seasons. Adams wants to play D-line and was looking at schools that were keeping that option open (such as Louisville and Tennessee).

Yeah they were on him early and had him out for a visit and was the leader for him for a while but then they got some other commits at the position and decided they werent gonna pursue him anymore.

Congrats to Jeff for moving on to the next level. I hope he gets to play on the defensive side of the ball. That is where I enjoyed watching him the most. :thumb:

The local kids seem to have a great deal of productivity when they play for UofL, Brohm, Bush, the Leffews, Urrutia, Heyman, and others. Glad to see him aboard and expect to see good things out of him.

U of L is really starting to drop the hammer in regards to getting solid recruits.

They are also making some good inroads in the western part of the state in the past 2-3 years....
