  1. GreenDevils dominated them last year and hope the Devils make it 2 in a row, but they are banged up. Hope both teams fight hard and come out healthy.
  2. 5 years ago, Davis Field was a great place to watch a H.S. football game. Then the prior administration let the field go. The same administration was investigated and found guilty of stealing and misusing funds.
  3. Funny how everyone basis decision on roster. How about what returns to the bench, as in the general. All Coach Carr does is get to regionals.
  4. I can promise that Scott will be Top 3 and will be in regional tourney at end of the year. Best of Luck to all.
  5. Cameron Crimm, Scott: plays left tackle and in short yardage will line up at fullback. Cameron is 6'4'' and is around 270. He runs a 5.0 forty. He has offers from Indiana State, Western, Eastern, and Morehead. UC and some MAC schools are starting to show lots of interest lately. He impressed some UC scouts last year when they came and watched James Bolden from Holmes when they played Scott @Scott in basketball. He is not the best, but definitely top 5.
  6. He is going to be a MAC QB. He could go to a MAC school and redshirt and by the time he graduates, be a very solid 3 year starter! Great kid, family , and work ethic. Shook his hand last week, he is 6'3'' and every bit of 195.
  7. I am going with Devin Taylor from West Jessamine and I am a NKY guy.
  8. All in all, some very good football players in NKY.
  9. South Oldham is very fundamental, physical, and good.
  10. 1. Highlands 2. Simon Kenton 3. Dixie Heights 4. Covington Catholic 5. Scott 6. Conner 7. Campbell County 8. Cooper 9. Newport Catholic 10. Beechwood However, South Oldham beat Conner. In my opinion I am a traditionalist that believes South Oldham nor Gallatin/Bracken/Grant/Owen are NKY. Walton is about as far as I consider. If South Oldham was NKY, then they would be #6 (bumping everyone else down one).
  11. WOW. Castleman gets no love. Castleman has more heart and toughness than any of those kids. I am not ranking by talent, but who is having the better year. If I were starting a team tomorrow Castleman would be my back. Not only is he tough but he also is a great receiver. Don't knock the kid until you see what he has done this year. He is by far a better all around Running back than both Scruggs and Beal, who are very good backs. It would be tough for me between Harris and Castleman. Harris is the benefactor of most teams playing a nickel or dime defense because of Houliston. Castleman is the focal point for the Eagles and every team has tried to stop him with 8 or 9 guys in the box. Albeit, all are very good players.
  12. Seen Bolden very closely 2 times last year and several times from the stands and seen Snider at State Tourney. Bolden is better scorer and Snider is a true point. They are 2 very different players in 2 different systems. Would love to have either or both.
  13. Just a few i have seen or know of. I am a little biased.

  15. Skilled postions, especially QB and RB would be hard to fill out
  16. Best of luck to them all.
  17. The kid from West Jessamine is the real deal. I believe he may be as good as the Walker kid but maybe a slight step behind the Harris kid. The Castleman kid from Scott is very good as well and doesn't get the touches the other backs get.
  18. I have watched all 3 play in person: Best H.S. QB 1. Barker 2. Houliston 3. Kuntz Most Potential at next level: 1. Barker 2. Kuntz 3. Houliston However, all 3 are very, very good! Darn near great and I am sure most teams/coaches would love to have any of the three. Barker does not have the line or weapons that either one have. I think it is a matter of opinion and some are biased because of who they root for, which is great. May God Bless all three on the endeavors and accomplishments. How great would it be if 2 of the 3 would lead their teams to the State Title. Hopefully the other (Barker) is great from here on out excluding Week 9. Go Eagles!
  19. Bellevue is in top 10
  20. Having seen both teams on film and in person, I believe SK would have a hard time covering/defending the passing game of Highlands. A lot would depend on if SK could keep Highlands' offense on the sidelines by controlling the line of scrimmage. Also, Coach Herbst (D Cord @Sk) would have to be creative with pressure packages which could allow for big plays. Here are my thoughts: if these 2 teams played this year it would be 35-20 with Highlands pulling away late. SK would keep it close. You must be multi dimensional (Miles Simpson/Chad Lawrence/passing) in the run game and have a decent passing game to beat Highlands. The Johnson Central's (all power run/no pass), CovCath (passing Bir/no run threat), and Lex Cath (pass/no run) all have not had much success. The balanced teams (GCL schools and Trinity) are very balanced and have most success. Highlands offense gets all the accoladed but their defense is NASTY and their defensive coordinator is best in state with Coach Herbst (SK d cord) is in Top 10.
  21. I hope you are right!!
  22. one dimensional. 2 long touchdown passes and converted a 3rd and 13 to set up 3rd score.
